Just another clarification. 29:24 you called the pedicles that we use are the convex pedicles. Although you I agree that you are pointing out the correct pedicles, it is the concave pedicles that you utilize for your lumbar modifier. Regardless, you are correct the CSVL is still sitting inside of the concave pedicle at the apical vertebrae. Sorry for the little nit-picky comments. This presentation is otherwise quite great! Thanks

I had a friend who got in a car accident (got hit by a police cruiser in Jan, 2019), & the urgent care Dr. said she didn't need an xray, that she could see with her naked eye & took a pic with her cell phone(?!?!) that she had/has a Lenke 1 A curve scholiosic lumber not sure if she would ever consider a fusion!? After going to a chiropractor + PT almost a year now & seems to be bringing it back to normal. Any suggestions?

At 13:05 you called this curve a Lenke 5. Is it not a Lenke 6 with the major curve being a TL/L and assuming the MT is structural. If the MT is non-structural then yes, I guess you are correct. I just wanted to make sure that's what you were getting at.

Can lenkes grade 3 and higher be associated with lumbar modifier of A?
@hariniseshadri9152 жыл бұрын
Sir thanks so much for this video. I had a doubt about the lumbar modifier - we are , in most of the cases you showed identifying the lumbar modifier of the minor curve and not the bigger major thoracic curve. Because if you extend the line upto the major curve.. it would probably be a type C. Please clarify if possible
@mohabmohamed4639 Жыл бұрын
it is called lumbar modifier not thoracic modifier👍

How can a curve be non-structural and be classified as a minor curve?
@douglasgillarddcprofessoro52857 жыл бұрын
Only structural curves (i.e., curves that do not decreased to under 25° during lateral bending) are used in the Lenke classification system. So a non-structural curves is not described as anything under this system. Of the curves that are structural, the one with the greatest coronal Cobb angle (i.e., the biggest curves) is the major curve, and all other structural curves, if there are any, are minor curves. I hope that helps!
