Just to make SURE you get the message, there are actually 4 Scooby-Doo movies in the live-action series. Scooby-Doo, then Monsters Unleashed, next is the The Mystery Begins, which is based mainly on A Pup Named Scooby-Doo but still set in this universe, and its sequel, Curse of The Lake Monster, which is the last movie. That's the release order. Chronoligically, it's Mystery Begins, Lake Monster, Scooby-Doo then Monsters Unleashed.

The fact that Matthew Lillard was so good at the Norville "Shaggy" Rogers voice that Casey Kasem (the original voice actor from the 1960s) chose him as his permanent replacement in the cartoons when he retired in 2008 after being diagnosed with cancer, just shows how talented Lillard is as an actor

At 30:25 that guy Matthew Lillard is knocking out is Andrew Bryniarski. He was Leatherface in the 2003 Remake, and the the 2006 prequel. The closest thing we'll get to seeing Ghostface take on Leatherface.😂

I watched this movie constantly as a kid, but all the adult jokes that were thrown in went completely over my head. Watching it now, it’s even more hilarious. It was apparently supposed to be a bit more mature, but was cut down due to the studio wanting to have a PG rating. I know a lot of people, especially fans of scooby doo don’t look at this movie very highly, but sometimes you just gotta not take movies so seriously and have fun. This movie knows it’s ridiculous and over the top and embraces it.

What makes the intro scene even more hilarious is if you listen to the actor commentary. For the entire scene, Sarah Michelle Geller is pointing out as to whether that is *actually* her arse on screen at that moment or if it’s a stunt double’s arse on screen.

I loved both these movies as a kid. Mystery Inc was perfectly cast. Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, Linda Cardellini as Velma and Freddy Prinze Jr. as Fred were AMAZING. And it's hilarious how Scooby's nephew was the villain of the movie. lol

I love Scooby Doo (2002). It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and themes due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, comedic moments, emotional resonance, and performance's by the cast. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍👍💯😎

FUN FACT: The guy sacrificing a raw chicken is actually considered a horror legend. In 1985 he starred as one of the leads of one of the greatest zombie movies ever made, The Return of The Living Dead. It's a comedy, and you should watch it. It deserves to start getting attention again. EDIT: I forgot to mention his name is Miguel Nunez, Jr.

They actually made FOUR of these movies, but two of them are more based on A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and they went straight to Cartoon Network. I remember seeing them come out, but I never got to see the last two in that series so I can't say that they're good or bad, just that there are a total of four live-action Scooby-Doo movies in the same continuity and two of them are prequels about them as kids with a crime-solving puppy.

I'm not proud to admit this. Used to skip the openings and get straight to the reactions. But lately from December 2021 to now, I've been watching from beginning to end as I have come to love your openings and just hearing your opening statements before and after the movie. And yeah, if only animals could talk so that way my sister's dog could not crap everywhere. And a Scooby-Doo word, if you mean when Scoob talks, I like how he says Shaggy "Rhaggy". Or if you mean a word commonly associated with the series. In which case ZOINKS Edit: Velma was always hinted to be a lesbian. That or Bi.

This is one of those movies that, like, I loved it a lot as a pre-teen, as a late teen I don't think I would have bothered with it all that much, but more recently, although not as much as when I was a pre-teen, find myself enjoying again.

Again, I hope you're still looking, because I'm here to tell you there's two final movies after Scooby-Doo 2. They're still live-action, and I think they even use the same style for Scooby to keep in continuity, but the last 2 are Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Begins and Scooby-Doo: Curse of The Lake Monster. So yeah, in total, there are 4 films in this series before that animated reboot "Scoob" came out.

There is also a live action prequel called Daphne and Velma (2018) that went direct to DVD. It's the story of how the two girls met prior to Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo. It's actually pretty good.
