Full gear up kit sounds beautiful when mixed with the iconic stage6 mk2 racing scream!

That's a great explanation of how to work out the gearing. For a rough idea of the final drive you can mark the clutch bell, and tyre. Then see how many turns of the clutch it takes for the wheel to turn once.

A lot of people complain about the noise of the Malossi gear-up kit,due to the gear teeth being straight cut. PN Planning are selling both primary and secondary gear-up kits with helical gears(for the Aerox 100,but maybe for other makes,I haven't checked). I just ordered my PN Planning p&s gear-up kits from Webike Japan. They are a lot cheaper than Malossi,also. If their gear kits are as high quality as their 9-port,alloy big-bore kits,I'll be totally happy.

that was good, i just went from a 125 to a 171 piston,need to do the calculations now to order parts; the previthey are new, may keep them,have to account for that too i guess the first thing is to open my gear box,count teeth and go from there? it's a Shenke(same as Jonway )125

I will reach about 95-120km/h, should it be enough to change the secondary gearing?

I have a 05 bugeye zuma with athena bbk yasuni c10 pipe dellorto 17.5mm carb top performance variator kit with 7 gram rollers with a malossi fly clutch and bell with a yellow 1500rpm contra spring with the medium green clutch springs on the clutch. I have no idea what the stock gearing is in my zuma. I definitely need an up gear kit but with so many different numbers with the gears im totally lost as to what to get

Hi there 🙂 I like you're video's 👍😊 I have a Piaggio Zip Euro 5 with a Malossi 80cc cylinder but my gearing is still stock. My top speed is 60kmph but i have plenty acceleration. Is there a way to change my gearing so my top speed will improve a bit ? My local dealer said that they don't know any gearing options that fit the Piaggio Euro 5 engine with the 10" wheels that the Zip use 🥺 (My complete setup is) Malossi 80cc cylinder with Malossi ECU Stock air filter box but with Malossi foam Malossi air filter tube Malossi variator but with piaggio belt I don't have the torque driver yet , but does the Malossi torque driver also increase the top speed or only the acceleration ? 🙂

I’ve got a gilera stalker with a 70cc malossi cast iron kit fitted standard 17.5 carburettor ( jetted to suit ) and malossi red sponge with standard airbox, also got 5.7G rollers and yellow clutch springs. My scooter tops out at 60-65mph but screams it’s nuts off so I don’t like going that quick very often. I’m just wondering which gear up kit should I get. The gearing is standard piaggio currently.

Awesome video, sadly not relevant to my scooter, as it doesn't have two wheels at the back with a differential in between.

My aprilia sr 50 r goes 93 when it reaches max speed the engine shuts off is it some blockage

U need good brakes too those stock kits wont hold long when u need to make a quick stop.About the gear sound use good oil

Hey, I have a few questions. I have a 50cc gilera runner upgraded to a 70cc MHR cast iron cylinder. I recently changed the gearing from 1:13 to 1:11 by changing the primary gears. I gained 10km/h but it bogs down at that speed and it also screams alot (the variator rollers are 7,6g). Do you have any advice?

Hi,i have an Aerox,just replace the stock exhaust and first gear slowly move after revs,when i put the stock back first gear revs,what îs the problem?

I'm thinking of upgrading my 80cc to a 150cc plus maybe 180cc or something along those lines however I primarily want to increase the top end by installing a smaller final gear but no one is able to tell me what the max size that fits in the case and will the scooter be highway worthy? For some reason no one in the scooter community cares about the highway.

Primary : 16T ori Second big 56T ori 56:16 = 3.5 Second little : 12T ori Final : 35T ori 35:12 = 2.92 10.22 15T. if i change the primary 56T 3.73. X. 2.92 10.89 this go higher So the higher the better acceleration i get? And less top speed?

what KIND of speed seems to be an issue some want more top end others just want better performance UP TO the regular top speed
