Just a quick fact check. You can find George A. Romero’s script for RE online, and when you do you’ll see that is hardly uninteresting. Capcom’s CEO said he wanted to make the origins different and make a different story, so they declined his script. And that my friends, as we know, was a huge mistake.

I DESPISED the Resident Evil movies so much that after watching one, I actually said (I cant believe I did say this and I dont entirely know how I feel about it) House of the Dead was better. Thats right I called a Uwe Bowe movie better in comparison.

Jill gets to the police station before Claire or Leon arrive. Jill later gets infected and loses consciousness until after resident evil 2 takes place. So yeah those doors were boarded up before hand.

well he was wrong about some, like Chris being the guy in the cover and the weapon not being in the game. That is confirmed to be Richad Aiken in the cover and that weird weapon is available as an extra in the PC version of the game.

Also, he mentions the boarded up doors and rooms in RE 3 saying that they were boarded up after RE 2, when at that point in the game, RE3 takes place on September 28 and RE2 takes place the day after, September 29

Also, you can't give mouth-to-mouth to Richard as Chris, as Rebecca's either tending to him when you find him, or if you met up with Rebecca early on, he's already dead. Only Jill can administer mouth-to-mouth.

22:20- Wesker notes that the mutations brought on by the t virus are in part influenced by the state of mind of the host. Sergei Vladimir was a creature of pain and suffering, Marcus became youthful again and Duvall became beautiful. Which also ties in with the whole "nemesis was a boxer" thing from the comic.

Mhh during is technically not right. RE3 was set in September 28th and October 1st, Leon and Claire arrived on September 29th and left on September 30th. If you count off screen time as during then yes, that is true but since Jill is just in a coma I'd count that as a time skip.

It is said the events of RE2 take place during the time Jill is unconscious from the clock tower fight with nemesis. Carlos heads out for a cure during that time as well which is during RE2. Its not as if everything else just stopped.

Carlos heads out after Jill wakes up from the fight, which is after the events of RE2. The timeline itself doesn't stop, that is true, but the gameplay just skips from September 28th to October 1st.

I played RE 1 when first released. I even had the old case with Chris. It was the first survial horror game that really scared me and gave me anxieties on zombies😱. Music really pushed the creepiness to this game.

The teenager playing Leon in the RE2 commercial was Brad Renfro, a then up-and-coming young Hollywood actor with leading or prominent roles in movies like "The Client", "Sleepers", "Apt Pupil" and "Ghost World" (he died in 2008 - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Renfro). He was in fact 17 when he did the ad, but Leon in RE2 is supposed to be only 22, so him still being babyfaced doesn't seem like a big deal for me.

Actually, it was reported that the Windows 95 version DOES in fact contain the uncensored intro. It was also supposed to be included in the Director's Cut, but an apparent mistake on Capcom's part resulted in the intro still being censored...

Can confirm. I played a windows version about 6 years ago and the cutscenes were in color and uncensored. There was also a bonus Machine Gun unlockable not seen in any other version.

Wow...all this time and I never knew you could stand still to keep lickers from detecting you. I guess since I played it when I was younger, I didn't think about them having no eyes. I just figured they could still see you since they're messed up monsters. And that logic stayed with me, so I still would run from them and keep moving while fighting. I wonder if standing still works in RE5. Probably not, since playing alone would cause the AI to act alone. Probably shoot them up. And there are a lot more of them.

It works (you can walk too), and the A.I. doesn't run if you don't (but I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me once the A.I. actually ran since random stuff happens all the time in videogames, especially if it's something like gta sa lol)

What you said Jill gets for knocking out the Nemesis, either with your own weapons or with "Live Selection" quick decision based things (like electrocuting him with a live wire and puddle on the clock tower, or blasting him with leaking gas and a lamp in the restaurant), wasn't all correct. What you get and how many times you gotta drop the Nemesis is as follows: 1. EAGLE Parts A for the STI Eagle 6.0 2. EAGLE Parts B for the STI Eagle 6.0 3. First Aid Case 4. M37 Parts A for the Western Custom M37 5. M37 Parts B for the Western Custom M37 6. First Aid Case 7. Assault Rifle (only on the first play through) or an Infinite Ammo Case (on all the subsequent play throughs) that can be used to make a single weapon of your choice never rum out. The Magnum or Grenade Launcher are great choices.

Nice video. 👍 I got another fun fact for you: Did you know that in Germany the original PS 1 version of RE 2 was banned due to explicit violence and gore? You could only get a copy if you knew where to look for it - usally a tiny computer store in the shady part of town ... RE3 and RE0 weren't banned, but censored. The Zombies' blood was grey and they would disapear after you killed them. However, if you switched your Gamecube's systems language from German to English, you were able to play the uncensored british version of the game. 😁

i thought the first one he was talking about versions of re1 since idk the saturn and pc are encessually just the same but ported yet. since they only added a little thing to each. for the remastered version he counted gamecube and ps4 version only even tho it was on ps3,xbox 360, xbox one pc, and wii too.

I’m pretty sure someone said this already. But the windows version was the definitive version with the uncensored colour opening when the game was first released. All movie files were accessible via explorer and you can even watch the unattainable death reel credits roll clip.

Two things that gave me night terrors as a child from resident-evil was the first zombie scene and the basement music. Imagine my surprise when I heard that sad clown music when I finally replayed it years later, all that anticipated dread turned into laughter @ 5:00

So glad you included the Tiger 99X version of RE2. I sold mine off a few years ago, but certainly had a fun time playing it growing up (we also had the Vrash Bandicoot one). It used a 5 character long password system instead of any save feature, but I totally remember guessing other 5 letter spooky words to jump to new stages, as the password two level two was GHOUL. I think VIRUS, BLOOD, or maybe GHOST started the game off with extra weapons, too. Unfortunately, if you use a password to level select, you would still only start a stage with the pistol, not gaining any weapons that would be found in previous levels along the way, which made it extra hard to jump in a stage with stronger enemies like the spiders and lickers. Best chance to beat it would be from start to finish in one sitting, yet I never had the patience to do it myself. Great video man!

This is the actual Nemesis drop order: 1st & 2nd - Handgun parts A & B respectively 3rd - First aid spray box 4th & 5th - Shotgun parts A & B respectively 6th - First aid spray box 7th (first playthrough) - Assault rifle 7th (not first playthrough) - Infinity ammo for 1 weapon, if used on the Minethrower it also adds homing.

4:40 actually, the music had to be changed because the composer was a fraud, he was using another composer music and took the credit for it.

No actually the fraud composer's music WAS the music that it was changed to. Mamoru Samuragochi, look him up he did the music to the Resident Evil Director's Cut Dual Shock Version and he faked being deaf and that he composed that version. Makoto Tomozawa did the original composing and his version is praised

Actually it's confirmed that RE3 takes place around 24 hours before RE2. The boards on the doors were placed by surviving cops, but taken down foolishly when they thought it was safe to do so.

I'm here because i saw Resident Evil : DEAD AIM on the thumbnail. Damn.. that game is almost unknown from the Resident Evil community and i can understand why. But that game, is my childhood. That game is my very first Resident Evil game that i played.

I remember playing it with the light gun for PS2! Such fun! Maybe it wasn't the best RE game... But I still enjoyed it more than RE6 :P

Ok, the quick-time-event isnt accurate. People do think that Shenmue was the first to use it but that's just not true. Though the prompts never appear on screen, Dragon's Lair would actually be the first game to use quick time events. In fact, the entire game is just a quick time event. In fact, there were quite a few FMV games on the Sega CD that used them as well. But even if we're looking at games where the QTE wasn't the main part of gameplay, Sega's Die Hard Arcade for the Sega Saturn used QTEs way back in 1996. As for making them popular. Sure, you can say it's RE4. God of War also used them and that was released just 2 months after. I mean, it's not like we have developers admitting "We're using QTEs because of ____ game" so we can only speculate.

um...didn't RE3 had QTE? Like the first time when you see Nemesis at the police station you get two options : - fight the monster - escape In which you need to quickly decide

As for number 7 on ur list, that may have been for the best. My older brothers (they're 37 and 39, I'm 30) said they avoided the 1st RE at first cuz they played a lot of Doom on PC, and got burnt out by the whole 1st person monster thing, and they just figured this was A Doom clone. Idk which one of them decided to go ahead and get it, but they were greatly pleased. Not me cuz i was a little kid and was scared shitless by it, but i quickly grew to love it.

The man on the cover the picture of the RE Original game is Richard Aiken a communications expert for Bravo Team who originally got sendt into the Arklay Mountains, and was in charge of looking after Rebecca Chambers who was a rookie member of the team.

Great video, my friend. Also, about RE4, the Broken Butterfly has yet another reference to Dirty Harry on its description, where it says "this will make anyone's day". I actually knew about the Matilda reference, but never realized the "Leon" part.
