It's one of the sweetest looking racks I have ever seen. The mass and the flyers are sick. I am a Euro mount guy, but that animal would be going to a really good taxidermy shop even if I had to give blood every week for six months.

I’ll tell you the same thing a guy once told me. The score isn’t necessarily for you. By scoring and entering a buck, you are honoring a one of a kind animal. A lot of hunters will go their whole life without killing a buck that big. Put that giant in Pope and young. It deserves to be there.

Harvested my first +140 class 8pointer from NC this year. Had basically no deductions and also had the palmation out on the end of the beams to help my score as well! Awesome buck! If you ever make your way through NC I’d love to try to get you on a nice suburban bow buck!

My biggest Bow kill just made the NY State record books, BUT I did not enter him because I knew myself he was "big enough". I didn't need to have a certification to show me that. Congrats again on that Beast of a buck Chris !

I personally feel like scoring this way is just such old tech. These antlers need to be run through a fully immersive scanner and be correctly calculated

So the direction that he gave for you to mark the top side of the cable is not the correct way to measure. you mark the bottom side of the cable as that is the top of the beam. your deer will score a bit larger than what is final is you could every 1/8" counts.

I would guess 6 1/2 or 7 1/2 If you knew me you would take my word. I was fortunate enough to be in a gvt position hunting mondo KS buck and there were wildlife biologist attached to that same organization that frequently talk with. They even aged my 8 1/2 yo buck. Believe me or not and no disrespect to you or that buck but I think at 8 1/2 yo he'd have some more mass especially around the bases and less kickers.

Nice buck. Guy scoring is marking wrong side of cable though. Should always mark bottom of cable. This deer should exceed 187.

I hate out of state hunters, they buy ground where I live so now grass is as expensive as tillable, but there aren’t even big deer around where I live.
