Sometimes it takes patience and reflection to own our own part in why we are in separation. Stepping away with love allows the person you love to see you honestly and what they were blind to in the every day. Love is a gift not a commodity or an expectation. When you leave and they rush back into their ego, leap straight back into rescue, ghost, new person?? What ever. If you love them it’s okay to see them wholly and give them a period of time to acknowledge what they are trapped in? Own it, do the work, heal it. I’ve been honest, worked on healing my part, being honest with my reactions, realising that I didn’t realise he hadn’t healed before he bounced me in. I was open of heart and just got so frustrated with trying to connect to his emotional side. Since I’ve stepped away, I realise he was closed, didn’t want to be alone but absolutely not healed or finalised or free to allow me into a new healed heart. I thought it was ME, that I wasn’t enough when the reality was he hadn’t done the work to heal before bringing me in. Patience and persistence, I am now open and honest, still loving but now from a place of acceptance and understanding. If he does the work, returns with an apology and a path forward that shows commitment to healing and opening to me emotionally then we will have so much to celebrate.
