One of the most consistently cool looking characters in all of media. Scorpion will always be the most iconic fighting game character alongside Ryu He’s gone through a lot of changes, but has rarely ever missed. Will always love him!

I think Injustice Scorpion works well because it's totally its own thing. Most of Scorpion's costumes in the main series are iterations of his classic look, whereas Injustice fully commits to being new and different.

I might be a weirdo but MK9 Scorpion is my favorite skin. Was a fan when they brought it back in MK11. Looks great. Also Injustice Scorpion was pretty cool.

It's a shame that Scorpion's alternate costumes for MK11 weren't discussed, since I would've liked to see your takes on his Grandmaster Hasashi and Past Scorpion looks from the story mode.

The one thing that I really like about MK1's design philosophy is that the characters look very "real" to me in a way that MK11's didnt. Don't get me wrong, MK11 looks amazing, but MK1 characters look a lot more natural and I kind of enjoy that not every fighter is jacked or shredded. Li Mei straight up looks like a yoga instructor or runner from her body type, but then she's doing crazy scissor kicks in mid air and launching you into the air with a purple Chinese energy lion. It's almost a surprise that she's so badass based on her physical characteristics and I kind of love that. They made the characters look super appealing and realistic and let their move sets and abilities express why they're so powerful.

I'm not a huge fan of the injustice costume, but I do love some of the ideas and themes. The reserved attachment to the physical representation of the Scorpion idea checks out. Fits in more with the superhero aesthetic. AND also makes me really want a game where scorpion uses a kusarigama. It makes so much sense.

Love MK11 Scorpion. Adding red was a stroke of genius. I also like that the cloth portions of it look like clothes, and not a weird MCU costume

Gonna miss Hanzo as Scorpion...what a run. Especially Patrick Seitz voicing the wrath so incredibly from MKX and Scorpion's Revenge

Deception was my overall favorite Scorpion Design since 1 grew up with it and 2 It looks amazing alongside with Shredder-Zero

MK9 is peak scorpion for me. A resurrected ninja from hell should have a costume that fits his personality of pure vengeance.

Scorpion is my favorite MK kharacter ever,when i played MK4 in 2001(my first MK game)i instantly loved his moveset and visuals and the "Get Over Here" line is too iconic. My favorite MK kharacter ever along with Mileena and Kung Lao.

Scorpion's design along "GET OVER HERE" will always be a memorable Mortal Kombat staple

I’ve always like Scorpions designs throughout the years of MK. My personal favorite design from Scorpion is MK Deception’s 1st costume. It has a lot going on and I do love the mask, the body outfit did it for me with the samurai-like outfit; the spike on his wrist personifies scorpions identity. I would give it a 8/10 MK11 scorpion design is without a doubt a 10/10🔥(Definitely looking forward to the next visual history)

Jim Lee is one of my first inspirations as an artist and i love his Scorpion design, no reason to feel weird about that at all. in fact i’d argue Injustice has some of the better character designs for the super heroes themselves as well. some feel a bit over armored if you translate them to 2d but in 3d they really work for me.

MK3 is actually one of my favorites in the franchise. That apocalyptic aesthetic, our realm being corrupted by outworld, the setting & soundtrack are great

I just want to say, thank you for making your intro 10 seconds. A while back I was dealing with a LOOOOT of mental health issues (most of which made me EXTREMELY irritable no matter how much I tried to just cope and deal with things). I had an episode at some point and complained that the intro was 15 seconds rather than 10 (which is the increment that KZfaq allows you to skip forward on mobile) and I don’t know if you changed it because of the increment of KZfaq time skips and/or people with irritability or not… but I definitely appreciate it. I’m doing much better now a days (was like 4 years ago when I was doing that bad). Dealt with a lot of things that stress me out and blah blah blah…. But I’m definitely appreciative of the intro being shortened

Love how Scorpion looks in MK1 but my favourite scorpion outfit of all time is probably the main one from MK11 or the main one from MKX 💛

Looking at your videos, I'm in a mindset at the moment where I come to appreciate what a lot of what you do. So many videos make me feel icky nowadays for various reasons, to the point where I don't want to watch anything. It's hard to explain and complex, but I came to realise I never have this with your videos. It's always in such good faith, with interesting insight and just SO reasonable in SUCH a seemless way. You simply keep a separation between the drama and factuality and good conduct while being fun as well. You vehicule this feeling and spread it. I really appreciate what you do and I am so glad you get such recognition for it. ❤

Scorpion’s MK9 costume is a 10/10 in MK11 though…

About the Armageddon Scorpion. I think what threw me off about it at the time was not only was it less busy, but the outfit just seemed too smooth and had different lighting or saturation, not sure how to properly describe it. Compared to the rest of the kombat kast with their detailed outfits, it was out of place with its simplicity. As an aside, I loved his alt in Deadly Alliance.

His Injustice design is my personal favorite.

I just adore Scorpion's designs in MK11, it's the main costume that looks the best... but you don't see it often if you play the story or customize him often. It's pretty rare to have him look awful... That's usually meant for live action takes at most, and Injustice's, which I like elements, but like most of Injustice, is busy city.

Tbh I prefer MK11's "O.G. Ninja" skin way more than the default MK11 design. That combined with the Tachijutsu Master mask and Wani's Tail spear are just 11/10.

So far mk 1 is actually my favorite design for scorpion and sub zero because I love the cut, slick look. The more simple design look awesome.

I do like his design in mk1 but like... it's Kuai Liang and not Hanzo Hasashi. That still bothers me a little bit that it's not Hanzo. I've heard a bunch of different rumors about what could be going on with Hanzo in this timeline and i dislike most of them. I've heard that he might just be chilling with his family and he's finally found that peaceful life he's been after for so long. I like that idea. I can get behind that. But then I've also heard that he might be the grandmaster of the lin kuei and the father of Bi Han and Kuai Liang. And I absolutely HATE that idea. If that is what they did with Hanzo in this timeline, not only do I personally think it's a stupid idea but it might also be a little culturally insensitive. I mean think about it, Bi Han and Kuai Liang are both Chinese names. Lin kuei is literally Chinese for "forests demons". So to make Hanzo Hasashi (a very Japanese name) the grandmaster of this ancient Chinese ninja clan and the father of these 2 Chinese men, that's kinda like saying: "eh Chinese Japanese same shit!"

The reason why he has so much armor in deception is because it was gifted to him by the elder gods after he was thrown into the soulnado from deadly alliance. He was gifted the armor and sent out to do the gods bidding

Honestly my favorite design was 11's. It’s something about the red highlights, hood, and katana blades that I really like. I’m also a huge fan of the simple but effective look that Scorpion, Sub Zero, and Smoke have with their Lin Kuei uniforms in the new Mortal Kombat 1.

One cool thing to point out about MK1 Scorpion is the level of detail and the quality of fabric he's wearing compared to his brother, the Grandmaster Sub Zero, who has more metallic adornments and higher quality fabric. Great visual language to tell you the status of both characters despite being part of the same clan.

Deadly alliance is the best imo, love the ninja aesthetic with the addition of spikes plus the armor pads make him look sick

MK11 Scorpion is incredible imho because there's something about the combination of hellfire combos and red that elevated his design. Seeing it come back for MK1 made me so freaking happy, and keeping the red in his default outfit was perfect.

the best designs in any of these games are is if they are FUNCTIONAL to their character and style. i remember a story from the development of dmc devil may cry is that a lot of the monster designs did not use their tools as actual weapons and had to be fixed by the og series designer

MK 11's design with the red added is my favorite as well. IT JUST WORKS for me!

My first MK was UMK3 on SNES where it cut many things including "Get over here" line and leaving only "Come here" one. I was so confused when people talking about his iconic line because I only remember the lesser known "Come here"

The MK2 costume is by far my absolute favorite look for him. The evolution of Scorpion has been so fun to grow up with. My absolute favorite character of any game. I remember the very first time I threw a spear with him and hear I am 31 years later just as excited to do it again in MK1. The Injustice Scorpion is the only one I only don't like at all. I know many people do and I love that but it just looks so wildly goofy to me haha. MK11 really did do such a fantastic job with his design too! His intros are insanely badass!
