Hello Michael and Mandy. I started watching this and quickly realized I had missed and episode so I have now watched parts 2 and 3. It was lovely to have seen dry conditions in part 2 but oh this has been a soggy trip. I'm quite amazed that it doesn't dampen your spirits. You certainly saw lots of lovely things along the way. I can't help wondering if Ruth and the Grim Reaper are an act, working together for a bit of fun. I think I would have stayed the night out of spite. I'll try to keep a closer eye out for part 4. David.

Well thanks for catching up David. It is not as good as the North Coast 500 but I'm pleased we did it. Best regards Michael

I would imagine Michael that you and Mandy are the most correct at all times and likeable couple one could ever wish to meet and its completely unacceptable that this distasteful man came along with all this silly unpleasant attitude obviously a very sad case with nothing in his life but to harass other people, obviously not thinking of other villagers who are in business to survive out of season times which can be difficult, I hope you both managed to shrug off incident which I'm sure was a purely isolated incident as I like you find the Scottish people always kind, take care both looking forward to episode 4, best wishes Colin.

Very many thanks for that comment Colin. Yews, we shrugged it off and put it down to another of life's experiences. Regards Michael

Hi Michael and Mandy. We are so lucky to have wonderful scenery in the UK and I hope the confrontation did not spoil your holiday. However, sometimes we meet very unpleasant people and you did the right thing to move on! I wonder what his problem was? Shame about the weather and those potholes were pretty nasty too - a familiar picture in the UK at the moment. I hope you are both well! Cheers for now Malcolm

Many thanks Malcolm. No, the little confrontation didn't spoil the holiday but it would have been good to stay in the little harbour village. Cheers Michael

What a sad man. Glad you were ok afterwards. All looks a bit damp. Well done going down that pot holed road. Steady as you go ! 👍

That last bit in your comment sounds very nautical and with the amount of water maybe a boat would have been better. Thanks for your comment Richard. Cheers Michael

Thanks for posting. The "Grim Reaper" was probably a guy with a bit of a screw loose. It's a pity that he wrecked your arrangements.

Sorry you had a hard time but there are Grim Reapers all around the UK but not normally that many in the Celtic areas.

Only advice I can give is to return to the pub and cancel your reservations for evening meals and breakfast while explaining that you have been forced to leave, that way you are leaving it to the locals to deal with the man for the loss of custom, as I imagine between the 5 of you that could amount to £100 or more lost in earnings for them.

You are right and that is exactly what we did, with our apologies. They thanked us and understood. Thanks for your comment. Regards Michael
