Greetings KZfaq! Join me as I first head from Edinburgh to Inverness and then make my way up the East Coast to John O'Groats. Did anyone mention rain...?

Being in the UK, I know how bad the rain was for you. Thank you for going through all that to make this video. I've not seen John O'Groats, so it was nice that you showed us the sign

Hi lad. I am aa 500 purist and you started perfectly.. in sight of the castle counts as it is being renovated :)🤓💯❤‍🩹You joined the 500 anti clock at the island after crossing the Cromarty Bridge

@@TwoWheeledDreamer nope. They where terrible and I was completely not prepared. I did anti clockwise. Found it far better. Must check out your WAW trip being Irish and all 🤣

I couldn’t believe the midges - I certainly wasn’t prepared either..! The WAW was absolutely amazing - some of the best riding I have ever done 😁

Great video, ridden the NC500 a couple of times. You kept mentioning that you were having some problems with the NAV6, last year I had the same issues. System would struggle to find position then wouldn't show live position etc. Then after trying to reset the device it went completely, touchscreen still displayed image but buttons wouldn't work. Bit of Googling showed this as a common problem with the NAV6 units, mine was just out of the 2 years warranty. So I had to pay Garmin £145 for a replacement unit, so I would suggest if you suspect yours is starting to play up, and if you are still in warranty have a word with Garmin and see if they will replace before it fails completely.

Yes, the Nav 6 was definitely playing up for a while with the usual ghosting issues but bizarrely, after giving the screen a good clean and removing any finger prints it settled down. Touch wood, it has been working ever since and has just seen ma across France, Spain and into Africa without any problems. Mine isn’t in warranty but that’s good to know Garmin are acknowledging problems with their product. Thanks so much for watching, commenting and your kind advice! 😊

Hi there, glad you liked it. The midges were a complete pain… I think I went in the worst month for them (August) but even being constantly under attack didn’t spoil the beauty of the place!
