Another killer podcast! Loved getting into the weeds regarding the choices made with value and design, and how it can be utilized with conscious intent to help unify a work. I was listening to this podcast while painting and found myself immediately applying that kind of analysis with the work in front of me. Good stuff.

Fantastic! I did Scott's Adventures of Painting but feel I learned things here that I never realized through that experience Thanks Jeff for your inciteful questions that pulled soo much information. I am a bit confused. Did Scott say that light becomes redder with distance? Why have I read that red lightwaves are the first colors to lose saturation at a distance, meaning that distant red things dont look as red? These two ideas seem to clash and I am not sure what is true anymore

Huh? I don’t remember. Perhaps he was referring to the middle ground. Yellow-red-blue… or maybe he just misspoke. It’s obvious from his work that he emphasizes blue in the distance. Do you remember what minute he said that?
