I met Clint Eastwood in London forty odd years ago when I was an 18 year old soldier on leave. I asked for his autograph and he said sure…but I didn’t have anything for him to sign. He actually took a £1 note from his wallet, signed it and said, “have a beer on me too”……..a great man.

When I was13 my dad and I were in a SF hotel. The elevator door opened and we got on and Clint was the only passenger. My dad looked, sounded and had the same disposition as Clint. They both looked at each other and kind of gave a nod like it was just two guys, no big deal. I Was awestruck and asked him why he didn't get an autograph. He just looked at me and said, that's not how a man treats another man, I got all I needed. Different time, different men.

That's so cool. When I was born, Clint Eastwood was actually in the delivery room. He walked in and said that I had the largest penis of any baby he'd ever seen in his life, and that I would definitely go on to do great things because of that. He then gave my parents a check for $10 million.
Didn't realize Clint Eastwood was 92, A person I looked up to since I was like 10... Watching the good the bad and the ugly with my father, the unforgiven, among dozens! of movies I watched from him, best outside influence I ever had. God bless him and his family

I love Clint Eastwood. Such an effortlessly cool guy. Grew up watching his westerns. By far the best cowboy of them all. I recently saw him in a 2022 movie. Was really shocked & saddened by how frail he has become. Didnt seem that long ago he was in Gran Torino(turns out it was quite a long time ago) and he was still quite big and tough looking in that. I didnt actually realise till I saw that recent movie that he is in his 90s now. The fact he is still even making movies(& as a lead role) is superhuman in itself. He is a total legend. Years ago Clint was filming a movie here in Athens Ga where we live. Where he was filming the water was messed up so they called my hubby who works for the city water department to fix it. He got to meet Clint and he said that Clint Eastwood was a most humble and kind human. He took the time to talk to my husband and they just shot the sh*t together. My husband loves his movies so he was excited to meet him and he turned out to be just a regular guy. He actually watched my hubby do the repair and was interested in how he fixed this pipe. He got my hubby a Coke and they just talked and drank a Coke. We have had other movies filmed around us but none of the others couldn't even compare to Clint. One day Kim Basinger and Alex Baldwin got behind me checking out groceries. Kim was pretty nice but Alex Baldwin was a ASS. At first I didn't know who they were but when I recognized them she was nice and we talked some, but Alex thought someone owed him something. This was when she bought the town Braselton Ga. She is from Athens and my inlaws went to school with her. Georgia has a lot of the Hollywood people living her, but it's not all a great thing.

On one hand I'm always interested in hearing more about Clint Eastwood, but on the other hand I gotta say I feel for Scott. He's 35 now, and nearly every single interview he does still turns into people asking about his dad. It has to feel like a curse just as much as it feels like a blessing to have that kind of father. He handles it admirably though.
@tomw69472 жыл бұрын
Depends on Scott's mentality so just think about this... Let's say Scott has a very small ego and knows he won't be more famous or achieve as much success and he is fine with that and is happy doing his own thing but is so proud and happy to share his dad's stories and past etc. If he sees his dad as a hero then he won't care about his own ego regardless.

My dad was 65 when I was born. They thought he was shooting blanks and BuddaBing here I am. When he married my mom, he was 50 and she was 22 (way to go Dad!). He died at 87, when I was 22. My mom never remarried, but years later, while having coffee with her at our family home, I asked, “So mom, what was it that attracted you to such an older man?” She said, “Well, as you know, your dad was a real charmer. That big Latvian personality, the intriguing accent, quick with a smile and a laugh and so on. You know I met him as a fresh, just out of school RN, when he was in the hospital for a hernia operation.
