The Quo sound is actually an AC30 in an iso box behind the wall of marshals.

Not in 1975.They mainly used Sound City amps and Marshall.

Funny story, love Lizzy, and Que too. KISS alsoused to that , at least in the beginning, When they couldn't afford expensive amplifiers and speakers, to make an impressive look. Scott is a cool dude, hope I look like that when I'm 73 years....

The Doors did that as well, except not on purpose. When they played the Hollywood Bowl (which they filmed), they rented tons of speakers for the purpose of going to 11 and beyond. Unfortunately, some bureaucrat/inspector from the City of Los Angeles said it violated local noise by-laws, and they ended up using only a couple of speakers. But it looked good onstage......

The only band that really use all the cabs and amps are AC/DC. If you watch premier Guitars rig rundown from the last tour they did, all the cabs on stage are live so Angus can run around and still hear what his sound is. Now that is Rock n Roll!

In the early days they used HH IC100S heads. It’s all over those records from 72-75 ish. Bolan used them too it was a secret weapon for a lot of bands back then I have one as well. And solid state which is an even bigger plus 😎

@@thegreatriffs2552 I have a IC100S and a IC100L which was the last of the series that came out in 77. 100L was only made for one year before it was discontinued. It’s a hybrid of the IC100 and VS musician circuits. That’s what HH told themselves told me

@@thegreatriffs2552 they went down around 1983 or so when carlsbro bought them out and then laney bought them from carlsbro in 89. They were so far ahead of the game as far as solid state amps goes.

@@justincrumpton1210 They tried to diversify into personal computers. There was the HH 'Tiger', which ran CP/M. I worked for them for a while at that time on the computer stuff. Unfortunately, the IBM PC came out around that time and steamrollered all the other personal computer manufacturers of the time. I think that was the nail in the coffin. I still have an HH MA100 which we use to drive our stage monitors... the build quality of their amps was very good!

1975 I saw you in Germany Ludwigsahefn....just this Show, with Susi Quatro, Status Quo, Alice Cooper etc :)

Ripped off 😳. The first time I saw them 1976 ? at Memorial Drive in Adelaide / Australia . Outside. It was the “real wall of Marshall’s”. And load ! Fantastic !😊

I saw Quo back in the day with HiWatt amps and they were fkng loud, Newcastle City Hall, Rossis MXR Graphic eq (?) pedal packed in so he threw it away and carried on. The next time I saw them they had Vox AC amps and sounded like trapped wasps in a jar. They did use those big stacks in the early days, but I'm pretty sure they were not Marshalls.

From about in my chair to paper plane I think they used a mix of Sound City Wem and Hi Watt stacks . There is a great shot of the amps on the piledriver sleeve. They also are on the paper plane footage from the Marquee .

Gotta agree with Scott re: the stage look . Went to a John Farnam concert some years back when he did his final concert tour number 12 ?? yeah .. NOT an amp to be seen on stage it looked like a Milli vanilli show , could have been mimed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷‍♂🤷‍♂ LOng live Spinal Tap
