This session demonstrates a famous Diminished Scale sequence used by John Coltrane in his solo on "Straight No Chaser" on the classic "Milestones" album. I show a few different fingering and picking possibilities and apply the Coltrane sequence to improvising through Dominant 7 and Diminished Chords.
