@@jonathanivany3715 Domi's play to the net is perfectly legal. Steven's hit on Domi is perfectly legal. Domi wasn't moving particularly fast: stopping isn't too hard. Brodeur does dive head first toward Domi in protecting the net, which makes Domi avoiding him a little tougher to do, but that would be on Brodeur. Even after being nailed by Stevens, Domi barely touches Brodeur.

I don't think Stevens was afraid of Domi hurting him in a fight, since he fought several tough guys earlier in his career. However, I think Stevens was definitely afraid of LOOKING BAD in a fight with Domi, which he surely would have. Stevens can fight, but he's losing 8 out of 10 fights against a heavyweight of Domi's caliber. Part of Stevens' game wasn't just physical play, but also showing up and intimidating the other team. The 6'2" 220 pound Stevens wouldn't be able to accomplish that when the 5'8" Domi would be using his head as a speedbag.

Better than fake tough guy Domi running away from 2 fights, hitting a guy held down by a teammate, then literally hiding behind a teammate, then trying to fight the goalie while the other goalie has him, all in a 2-minute span. Yeah, real tough Tie.
