I am a 21 year old, 3rd generation carpenter, I've been working with wood since I was 5 and have been tearing apart and rebuilding cars since I was 12. Run from the '29 chev. My old man did full restorations on several 1928 coupes, but they are pretty lousy to hot-rod because of the wood body. That's the main reason why the late 30's coupes were so popular because Chev had moved away from wood bodies at that point. You could do it, but even finding someone with the skill to do the work is next to impossible. My dad only was able to do it because he used to build boats as a hobby. Sell it to someone who will restore it! If you want a 20's rod, do a Ford!

The carb is an updraft design. The tech wasn't there yet to keep them from leaking gas into the intake so instead it would safely leak onto the ground.
