Scotty I'm with you, after dinner I love to sit by the campfire well into the night before hitting the sack. When camping during fireban season I still spend hours outside just laying flat on the ground and watching the stars, clouds etc. that go by up in the sky. Nothing better than just chilling in the night time. :)

Congratulations Scotty on another awesome adventure, stunning location and fantastic cinematography! I couldn't agree more on enjoying a camp fire, kicking back and relaxing, watching the bush television in the evening and listening to the bush radio in the morning. There is something magical about being out bush and your videos capture that and they take me back every time, thank you and keep up the great work!

Scott, this is magnificent. Such utterly stunning country. Also incredible to see the thick regrowth too. Our Aussie bush is so resilient. So nice to watch it through your stripped back and simple way. I agree very much with your sentiment about immersing yourself around the bush tele once the cameras are off. I draw great inspiration from your videos for my own. Another ripper. Ooroo.

Hey mate , love the videos. Just a heads up, on this particular video in this area there are no active mines present. The closest mine is Springvale . I’ve been a surveyor in the area for 27yrs , most of our work involves measuring mine subsidence & the impacts of long wall mining in the area . Conservation is a huge part of the mining industry, regeneration of native forests, the protection of native flora & fauna once the life of the mine has expired. New leases are only granted after a very stringent process has been completed. At no stage does any wildlife, water courses or landscapes encounter threat or change.

Beautiful country, Scotty. Thank you for taking us with you into areas that I would stand no chance of accessing, never mind exploring. The thought of losing such a spectacular area to mining is horrific - is there any campaign site against this, and for establishing a national park or something which would make such a thing impossible in the future? If there is, put up a link and I'm sure most of your viewers would back it from around the world. I'm with you on sitting up at night, but more often with my back to the fire if there is a clear sky. Sadly most of the UK suffers from chronic light pollution, and most people here just never get to experience such a spectacular skyscape as is visible in less overpopulated areas. I'm old enough to remember when it wasn't the case (they used to turn off streetlights at some time late at night because nobody was out there to use them anyway) and have since travelled to Africa and remember being staggered by the stars at night so much that I was still watching as the sun came up, on a number of nights. I guess it is just as well that there are morning people as well as night owls, or daytime jobs wouldn't get done! I've been both in my time, and admit that waking early enough to catch the night sky and the sunrise also has its attractions, and it is good to stop the truck for breakfast during the morning rush. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of the area, and some of the larger caves.

So check out their website and please consider becoming a member or making a donation. Gin and Tonic lemon or lime, a glow of a campfire, this area reminds me of the Grampians and Mount Arapiles near Horsham western Victoria . In my late 60s now , gotta tell ya My feet are itching to get out away from society and get lost in these Triassic Jurassic landscapes with a set of paints and brushes. Be awesome to wonder around in the solitude of such awesome magnificence . Found some amazing landscapes in The Grampians, a few large cats put the wind up me though. Just had a look at the back pack and tent I got in the 80s , still in great Nick so when these coppas pull their heads in I will get lost for a few weeks or so. There are some amazing areas out there , found some dinosaurs claw prints , so your thought of Jurassic dinosaurs wondering around are a timeless reality, Dreamtime still exists….happy hiking Scotty

Talking about the coppers - I was wondering how Scotty manages to escape through some of the red zones in Sydney to get to these wonderful camping areas without copping a mega$ fine. There’s still a 5km limit for travel without a permit (Covid). He has to travel through red zones to get west and over the blue mountains. How does he manage to do it without incurring the mega$ fines being imposed lately? Just thinking……

The big pagoda was a wise choice - there are too many bad stories about camping too close to an edge... And that is one EPIC edge!

Been out this way before but have never seen this canyon, looks insane. Goggling the crap out of it now for my next adventure after lockdown haha!

@@jordanwheatley602 It wasn't hard to work out exactly where the camp was and I'm pretty sure I got the canyon walk from Google Maps too. After the Canyon walk, there is a Jeep scene that I think gives a massive clue!

@@BrettWilliamson yeah the campsite was easy to work out, but I’m still not quite sure on the location of that gorgeous canyon. I’ll have to scrub back and watch again for that clue. Thanks mate!

@@jordanwheatley602 i think the canyon is called Dry Canyon out on the glow worm tunnel road before you drive through the first tunnel.
