America ....as a veteran I'm concerned. If people don't know their rights, they won't know when they're being violated. What's the point of defending our freedoms abroad if people won't do it at home? This is a case where our blood and treasure wasn't in vain. Unfortunately, its a rarity these days. That's why groups like The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education is so important; and why critical thinking and civics should be taught in all schools.

Schools typically step in when something happens with a student off-campus that has a direct and substantial impact on the school; I.e. terroristic threats, threats against staff or other students, threats to cause harm to others at a school, or threats to damage school/government property. Sharing an opinion of how she was treated by a coach/squad, albeit filled with expletives, is not just cause to take action against a student through school channels. That’s a conversation to be had between the school and the parents. It’s a fine line to tread for sure.

Won't help her when she wants to get a job. I can speak with 100% confidence that in the industry I am in, companies do a background check on your social media postings. If they don't like what you are posting, you won't get hired. The individual will simply be told that the company has found someone else and thank you for your interest. Game over. This is why people should limit what they post online. As in right now I know for a fact no company will look at this post in a negative way. Certainly wouldn't prevent me from getting a job. This is why people should never post in twitter, snapchat, facebook, linked in, etc.... You show your face and your opinion together.. game over.

that is why you have you social media accounts blocked so that only people who are on your friends list or people you trust are able to see everything and anyone who takes the time to think goes through any social media account and deletes anything that they feel could hurt them in a job before they go and start applying for them so if they do find a way around to see what is on your social media (and them being blocked) they still won't find anything. I have a huge background in Computer Technology so I'm well aware of how to prevent / limit any company to only see what I want them to see. And I teach other people so that it slowly gets spread around even if it takes a few years people will know how to stop a company into looking at your private life =)

Do our leadets have any wisdom left at all? I shudder to think what years ahead hold for this wretched society. The plague we've allowed to spread in our midst is worse than any COVID could inflict. So you can resent the straight forwardness of these words, and they may even remove them from discussion board, but they will prove themselves to be true as time goes on.... And no, l do not hate this country, but l hate what has allowed itself to become. Those who are allowing it, they're the ones who really hate it.

Telling a child as they grow up they don't have an opinion and it doesn't mean anything and they just need to follow everything their superiors tell them to do, and if they state anything against them they'll get punished. Then you're surprised when they are adults and aren't socially confident or they still blindly follow authority. I feel bad for your children, if you have any at all.
