International Scout getting a Jeep 4.0 and AX15 swap. Starting with trimming down the Jeep wiring and removal of both engines and transmissions.

The original six in that scout is An AMC 232 Inline six ( the little brother of the 258 which the Jeep 4.0 is Derived from ) that’s why it dropped right in on the stock motor mounts.

Correct. That is why it was chosen to be the replacement engine. It fit perfectly into the bay.

@@joshsautoandcustoms9840 it’s a great swap ( modern Fuel injection , way more power and if someone looked under the hood they’d think you just put fuel injection on it) plus those Jeep 4.0 liters are bulletproof .

I agree. They also have a very large parts support if anything does happen.

Doing the same swap in my 74 Scout ii. About to tackle the 4.0 harness. I’m going to use the full stock harness and computer. I’m going to run the crank position sensor,tps,map, 02, cam position sensor, and stock computer. Is that what you guys did? Any other acronyms you would add for it to run? 😅
