SCP 4217 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Contain The Bismarck.
SCP-4217 refers to both Bismarck (henceforth SCP-4217-A), an anomalous German battleship sunk on 1941-05-27, and the large cephalopod organism that is fused to the inside of its hull (henceforth SCP-4217-B). SCP-4217-B possesses a pair of octopoid eyes which protrude from the base of SCP-4217-A's superstructure, and twelve 100- to 200-meter-long muscular hydrostats that extend from an opening in the stern. Aside from the presence of SCP-4217-B, SCP-4217-A shows no signs of damage sustained from battle or subsequent decades submerged underwater.
SCP4217 typically remains submerged at a depth of 500-1100 meters, navigating its territory. However, SCP-4217 will periodically surface and enter a Hostile State.

The closer they get to the bismarck they just hear inside: “What is that?” “Sounds like music, maybe rock.” In the distance they hear Bismarck by Sabaton. When the sub gets close they see just the band playing on the deck.

As said in the video, SCP-4217 may be attacking ships following its assignment from the Nazis. The ship would be following orders. Knowing this could you cross test SCP-4217 with SCP-2430 the immortal hitler clone? SCP-4217 could see the clone as its leader. If the hitler clone was given communication with SCP-4217 there could possibly be a chance it would surrender?

It would be risky because 2430 is severely mentally unstable due to the years of torture in the hands of Stalin and lately experience of being buried alive. You could maybe send 999 and see if it helps it heal 2430's PTSD so it can function properly, and to be fair it would be kinda funny if it also healed it from, well, being a psychopath murderous tyrant. "So, after 999's interaction we had to change a few things in 2430's file. The good news is, he doesn't want to act like Hitler anymore, he doesn't hate anyone no more, he just wants to paint. The bad news, specially for anyone in here from Judaic heritage, is that you are no longer allowed to punch him in the face. No, not in any other place either".

As a certified nerd of naval warfare, SCP 4217 is my absolute favorite SCP that I've discovered thus far and hope that there are more like 4217 out there, or hopefully some will be inspired by 4217 to write those entries

If you are going to send in an unmanned drone to check out the inside of the ship at least arm it with a nuclear kill switch so if the thing wakes up and severs the connection you can take it out before it attacks anything.

Not to mention the various tales and groups of interest explained. Day 318 of asking the O5 Council to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.

Great story. The only plot hole that I noticed was that in reality there were three survivors from the HMS Hood. In this alternate reality though, it would seem that there were none.

2:26 Note: The Iron Cross is not Nazi specific, but is a symbol of the German air force before the Nazi's took over, and is still used to this day. Though I guess if the Iron Cross is here, in a Navy ship, maybe you swapped it with... the other symbol (which, if I remember correctly, is actually appropriated from India, where it means well-being and good luck).

8:46 is it me or does Tirpitz look like the Scharnhorst/Gneisenau? The two ships of the Scharnhorst class were essentially twins, and the Bismarck class was the same; only Tirpitz had torpedos and Bismarck didn’t and was launched and served after Bismarck was sunk

Its called "Secure Protect Contain" because of a reason. There is a SCP that is a chair that teleports to you if you are exhausted, at least it did untill another group tried to destroy it. Now its a bunch of wooden chips that tries to kill you if it gets scared. Who knows what will happen when you try to kill this SCP, maybe its blood mutates everything in a 100 kilometer radius

It would just grab you with its tentacles and force you to surface, it moves at 35 knots and I doubt a submarine is faster than that Also the torpedoes won't do much and it will just repair anyways It can also make you basically blind by disabling ur sonar with its field and you probably can't see it if it submeges below 500 m So not a very good idea

Really want to have more interaction with the Destroyer on Jupiter, SCP-2399 and other like this one. From what I could have heard, 2399 repaired itself one time to shoot one of its cannon to the "false" Mechanical God in that Ouroboros Cycle story in Mexico City.

What I thought is that 2399 was sent to destroy the Broken God because his last appearance was on Earth, being the prison of the Flesh God and honestly, I am confident to assume that The Living Motherboard SCP 003 IS the 2 gods because the "stone" components is trying to imprisone the "living circuit". Like all tales, the story was changed with time from the reality.

Reminds me of the "beast" infection from himeworld cataclysm. The ship is covered in an organic coating made of what used to be the crew. It takes it over and mutates the crew and ship quickly, was actually pretty spooky.

In the file on the wiki, it's said that Tirpitz MAY be a second instance, but I'm unsure as to the validity of such. If my memory serves, it isn't mentioned beyond that.

Here is the answer to your question it is pretty much a living spaceship sort of like from some Star Trek episodes essentially it and if it had a crew encountered 2399 the malfunctioning Destroyer while traveling through the solar system 2399 nearly killed it and it crashed on Earth that's where the Germans were able to retrieve its remains and reconstructed it into the Bismarck the reason it acts the way it does is because it essentially has been brainwashed in order to fulfill it's World War II tasking on top of this after it was sunk for the first time it's crew melded into it as it regenerated itself so most of the memories it has is not even its anymore the sad truth is it's a creature that doesn't even know what it's really doing anymore where it is what it is or where it came from just going off of the only things it knows the memories of the German crew that were absorbed into it it's brainwashing and it's prime directive Oh and that 2399 nearly killed it

Awe this is so cute back when it was one ship now it's center or 'toroso" is an American aircraft carrier with the Bismark, a couple destroyers and nother ship I forgot as "limbs connected to it. It also fis up us diving suits with it's biomass to control all the finer maintenance and weapons systems. I may be wrong and it could be a completey different SCP nut this reall sound like it's origin an how it started before it assimilated many other vessels.

This might be true. Its rumored if there is a full moon on Halloween Morning (anywhere past 12 AM and before 4 AM) and you are on the Northern Atlantic ocean, you can faintly see a ghostly resemblance or KMS Bismarck on patrol at the horizon. However, you don't see it clearly with a naked eye, best to use binoculars. If you can point it out without binoculars, it would be a discolored dot at the horizon, like a pixel on a screen thats a different shade of the color its supposed to be. Its mainly a lighter color. If you are lucky enough to spot it, you will notice 2 things. 1-it does not reflect light. 2-It doesn't appear on Radar. It lacks the features to identify it as Bismarck, as no one got close enough to get a clear veiw. Its believed to be Bismarck as its near the spot she was sunk. However, it might be of HMS Hood. The ship Bismarck brought down.

I obviously cant know for sure but I really hope you made the submarine pink because you had found out that the paint used on subs at the time were pink until fully dry when it would change color
