Cute tags! When I get out my Christmas decorations, it's like having friends visit that I haven't seen in a year. Some of these "friends" go back to my childhood.

Hey Shel, you’ve inspired me to make tags for decorating a small tree this year for Alan and I to enjoy, (in our really damn cute little Maine cottage.)Besides, it will look nice sitting behind us in all the Zoom calls that will go on instead of gatherings. For Christmas, I usually make sure that I speak to or email many family and friends, but this year I'm going to make an effort to send Christmas cards with a little message inside. Loved this so much! The tags are fabulous! The month ahead sounds so exciting! I agree about the lights. When I was a kid we had the same strands forever. A light went out you unscrewed it, put a new light in and continued decorating. These new lights while pretty are impossible to fix. They give you replacement lights but finding the bad light is next to Impossible. FYI. I have taken them apart before tossing, and stripped the plastic coating off the wire. It’s tough but the cute little copper wire works great on so many different projects! Sorry. I try not to be negative, but I guess you touched a cord there. 🤪. Your decorations and memories sound wonderful. I love Christmas. I don’t know how to reach you so I am going to try to send you a card today through Pinterest to let you know how blessed I feel every time I watch one of your art shares. I pray for you and your family and pray that this Christmas will be filled with laughter, smiles, giggles, joy and lots of good health. The new year, too! TFS I did. God bless and stay safe.

Awesome tags Shel! :) In Sweden we put up Advents candlesticks in the windows or/and stars. That is the first Christmas tradition and that happens for Advent 1st of course. On December 13th we celebrate Lucia. It is about bringing the light to all homes when it is the darkest time of the year - amd this year we need it more than ever lol Old traditions were to bring in the christmas tree on the evening of December 23rd and decorate it then. I do it differently since I find it so cozy with the tree and decorations up. I usually get the tree up 2 weeks before christmas. Sweden do not celebrate on the 25th like you do. We celebrate on the 24th! Christmas eve. I have never had any theme christmas tree. I just use a lot of different ornaments, some glitter and lights of course. Sorry the long comment lol but since you said you wanted to hear about traditions I wanted to share! Oh another thing! We have advents calendars! Some have candy or small things in them. But in my family we always had the old fashioned kind, that "only" has pictures hiding behind a "door".

Great tags! Funny thing about me... I love making ornaments and decorations to gift, but I don't like any homemade ornaments on my tree. Isn't that strange? 🤔

I like your tag idea so mush, I may enlarge them slightly and make them into cards. I live alone and don't decorate my house much--just a few touches and a very small tabletop pre-lighted tree.
