In Todays video I cruise over to my local scrap yard which is only a few minutes away from my house and I grab myself a nice big welder. It was a hell of a breakdown of this piece and 3 melts to get it all sorted so I really hope you all enjoy this one. Now sit back and take a well earned break and let me know if you enjoyed in the comments. And i hope to see you all next Friday😁 .

HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Great video, as always! One of the things I always appreciate about your videos (and melts) is that you take things that would otherwise end up in a landfill somewhere and break them down, recover the metal you want, set aside the steel for your friend and recycle the plastic. You're not just making cool stuff and great content, you're also helping the environment!

Trouble with recovering gold and other metals, is that there are a lot of chemical processes that are required for the extractions. So, might be a little out of his price/experience level to be able to do that. There are others on KZfaq that show how it's done. Seems pretty involved to me.
