I made a story of what could’ve happen to him in this universe: Max was a kid and now he’s slowly becoming a grown teenager, going to high school, then collage. Goofy finds it hard to not see Max, because soon he’ll be going to his own home and being independent now. One day he leaves and Goofy misses him very badly. Several weeks later, an accident happened near where Max lived. Goofy was shocked, because Max didn’t make it.

You should combine the 2. I like the original pitch, but the effects and other tweaks you did to the song, so maybe if you combine the 2, you get the best of both worlds.
