Welcome back to the Scrap Mechanic Challenge Mode! Today we are back in the Ball Balancing Challenge making the next 2 levels. One of which introduces mechanically moving rails that require timing in order to get across! What should we try next?

Ideas : - Add buttons/switches to trigger actions such as : -- Opening/closing doors/gateway to lock the ball (good to reset de speed of the ball for phases that require timing). -- Manually rotating rails. -- Moving the ball to a different depth of height if you do sublevels without checkpoints (for higher difficulties). - Put the control seat on a thin platform to avoid having the view of the challenge occluded in third person. - Add another dimension to the levels to make maze ball games like challenges with a view from higher above. multiple axes! (plural of axis) a jump in the track to switch tracks multiple balls a course where you have enough thruster speed to do one ball but the other one doesnt have enough speed till you get the other one and it activated more thrusters so that it is faster

Scrapman, you can make it so that half of the thrusters on one side are set to one speed level, and the other two are set to a different speed level so that you can make half steps in the power of the controls.

Ideas: 1. You need to throw the ball of than turn the thing do wiem The ball spwns it falls on something alse (like a track above the spawner make the ball fall turn 180° and the ball lands on it) 2. Something like the last hole in the last level of the golf course when you had to throw the ball in to the spinning finish PS Sry if my English is not the best

Hello, I have some ideas: Try to make a maze, you can use sensors and the turning things you used in this vidio, and maybe you can try to find a way to lean in all directions! And maybe some kind of lift or a glider It would be fun if you did something I wrote, but im sure that you will come up with something cool, you allways do! Thanks :D

so i got a few ideas for future levels: 1) multiple balls at the same time... 2) multiple axis(left-right, up down, forward backwards from player perspective...) 3) random speed buffs/decreases(you choose) 4) more complicated traps making for harder puzzles... 5) stuff that purposefully screwes with your abillity to see the course propperly... 6) a mish-mash of all of the above for last level in *ONE* ball course unlike the approach you had to the golf course where the last level was a series of small and relatively easy puzzles that unlock the ball that you use to get to the finish-line...

Awesome video. The idea i have for a harder challenge is 3 seats (1 ball 3 obstacles) all linking together start on the left then work your way round to the middle then the right.

ball in a cup challenge where the objective is to catch the ball in the cup, but it is okay if you don't because the ball is connected to the cup via a rope. probably just pipes with multiple joints and similar controls to the ball in a cup video

Have the rotating pipe from the 4th level but longer and the pipe and goal are on a separate place where they will not move (the goal will probably be at the side of the rotating pipe) so the only way to get to the goal is to use the momentum from the tilt into the rotating pipe and hopefully the pipe will bring you to the goal

You could add tilting in all directions+ maybe being able to rotate it as well, to get another perspective and it could also change what button does what, since rotating means it can make your controls do other thing with your viewpoint and how about other problems like adding thrusters that go off on their own in certain intervalls so you have to take that into account too, maybe adding jumps, so you dont make it off of one bearing, but like 2 as in you add a jump from 1controllable course to another 1, maybe a labyrinth?

When this comes out I will definitely try and speedrun it and having different ways to complete it will make it more fun. If you don't want everyone skipping the actual levels make the faster route way harder or not obvious.

Moving obstacles . For example a rod connected to a rotating bearing or hopping sections ( the sensor detects the ball and pistons goes up in 3 seconds and ball goes off the track ) İ am watching from TURKEY and i hope u read this

Build some levels with 2 rotation points, so the ball also moves away from the player. So you can build more complicated 3D mazes where the challenge it self to find the correct path.

things I want to see: 2 seats, 1 control the pitch another than controls tilt maybe having to lead a ball from one track to another track(if that makes sense at all)

You could add in “jump bars” that you need to use to pop a ball onto another track Potentially add 3 axis spin so that you can make 3D puzzles rather than 1.5D You could add rails that change/deactive/activate the grip after a certain time of contact or after a trigger is hit Building off the previous idea you could make a several ball path that your previous route makes future routes harder/different Jumps in the rails Momentum based spinning trebuchet launch the ball out of a section then have to catch it the right way to enter the next part Make several trap holes and one hole that enters the correct tube so they have to skip the ball over the gaps Add in wheels and stuff that will boost or slow or reverse the travel somewhat Use other materials and cracked rails and stuff to make things travel different Make a “blind level” where you see a marker of the ball’s location but not the device, or vice versa Make courses where you Have to beat a certain time or the path is blocked Use other balls with different properties and sizes Add ball killer traps Make a combination lock type one with several goals Make a clock like spinner board where you have to stop the moving rings of numbs to create a path to each layer’s hole to get to the next goal

IDEA! have a very long rotating rail and make it so it can rotate with the thrusters, so you have to get on it while it's spinning, and then get off of it while it is spinning.

You started with one dimension. The obvious next step to me to up the difficulty is two dimensions (x and y controls on a maze-like plane). Then in 3 dimensions on a maze-like cube.

You should add a wall, with the thrust and counter weights hidden behind it, and a pipe coming through a 1 block gap with the course attached to make it look cleaner

Make a vertical maze for level 6-10 Edit: also make a launcher, so when a sensor is triggered, a section of the rail just suddenly go up and down VERY VERY FAST so the ball launches.

IDEA FOR NEXT LEVEL the idea is,that you make a platform under the raild,so if you miss it,you have to go there and kick the ball with the hammer so it falls down

*PLEASE READ* Okay so you control 2 courses on 2 separate "gyro" pivots, the courses are curvey and you have to adjust EVERY axis to the correct the trajectory of TWO balls, The goal is to swap the balls over to the correct corresponding color. I'm gonna try to make this easier to understand: Two balls, one painted red and the other blue. The balls are on the course painted with the opposing color so ie, course on the left would be red with a blue ball and red goal attached and the right course would be blue with a red ball and blue goal attached. The 2 courses would intertwine at some point of the axis allowing you to move the ball to the corresponding course. You probably understand the goal at this point, blue ball has to go to the blue goal etc. *MAKE CHANGES AS YOU FEEL*

Quick piston that will shoot it upwards as both a hazard or a way to get to a higher level where you need to to land on the rail and go to finish, also, jumps of course.

You could have one level where the whole thing rotates automatically and you have to counter act it while still getting a ball in the hole. It would make it just a bit more difficult.

at level 6 make the spinning platform as long as as level 5 and make the spinning platforms rotate faster and has thrusters so they can just sit at one side when it spins so they will launch they just need to sit in the middle. :-)

Make a level where it you have two balls but if you tilt left the other one will tilt right so 1 will go left and 2 will tilt right and if you tilt right 1will go 'right' and 2 will go 'left' and the goals are on opposite sides!! That would be cool so you have to go left wait for the ball then go right.

The rotating parts could be used as track switches. You'd have to balance the ball on the rotator, then it'd rotate like 45 or even 90 (sloping or double axis tilting required for 90) degrees to a different track and only the new track continues towards the goal while the old one ends in a pitfall. Like this: o --- = -- -- = ------ [ ] \______/ (o start point, = rotator, -- track, [ ] goal)

I have an idea make it that you need to balance 2 balls if you rotate the first the second will also rotate but if you rotate the second the first won't rotate also
