In this video I prep a bucket full of small motors down to the copper spool, so that my wife can finish cleaning the copper, (she likes to help when she can) My daughter made the video intro for me below is a link to her KZfaq page. / @krypdian

That tip about the copper sulphate was a hidden bonus. And giving credit to the person who turned you on to that trick was classy.

Hello from Sweden again. I see that physichs nightclass did some good,, F=M A,, the bigger hammer always wins 🤣 Microscrapping is just so Theraputic, pulling prongs off the plugs, stripping motors like you in the video, picking stuff from circuitboards. Stay safe and take care.

yeah, always have some small things to process, small amounts but they add up, I take a bucket of small stuff into the wife, and she will break it down

@@Okiescrapper Oh yes, all that small stuff do add up. I kind of like the Microscrapping but the bigger stuff is fun. I do pickups from a whitegoods repair shop and supplier and they also do AC/heater units so I have a steady supply of those, so far this year I have done more then 30 of them..

I got it prepped and the wife cleaned it up, got 10 lbs. out of it. some have said that if you hit the other end where the round hole is with a hammer it will open up and the copper will fall right out.

My neighbors worked construction, concrete. When they were working walking around any little scrap copper they saw they would pick up and throw it in the truck. When they finally decided to cash it in they got $15g ! Yes over the years they had collected a lot.

If you take the motors and set them diagonal on you vice and hit it with the hammer they come apart very easy without using puches or chisel

The first two motor parts that you worked on. If you stand them up on their side on that flat part of ur vice and smack the round opening part with your hammer those pieces with the copper on them pop right out

The only tool you need to release that bundle of microwave fan motor copper is a hammer - beat the opposite end or side to side and the copper will fall out as the 'tongs' spread open from the hammer blows, in seconds.

I like the feel of them, but the stitching on the fingers seem to come loose or wear out fast. I had this pair hanging on the pegboard for a while thought I would use them. the gloves I like to use are some leather one's from Walmart kind of a yellow color and $10.00 a pair, I have 2 pair one for each truck, I have had them for over 3 months and still no holes or stitching coming loose, should get a lot of use out of them, I need to get a pair for the shop, Thanks for watching

Hello. there was a couple things i was wondering. Being a scraper and all. Why would you spend that money to run that costly heat that dont do the right job when you could be melting aluminum while you work and get the heat. That (shop) is drafty enough you wouldnt have to worry about the fumes. :-) And #2 you said your wife use to help you. :-) lol I know , and then you got married eh? :-)

@@Okiescrapper Hello, yes copd is bad. I lost my best friend to it 4/8/21. That was the 2nd time for good. :-( But the hip replacement is a good thing you might want to think about. They do do wonders with that idea. :-) BTW tell your wife to stay away from powdered spices. That is what got my friend. 24 hours later she was dead. :-(
