It’s crazy that Jill Roberts, Sid’s cousin, was the closest Ghostface killer that almost got away with it all to this day, and still underrated…

Fum fact about this movie, the original script was to have Jill and Sydney survive in the next movie, with Sydney having memory loss and slowly remembering throughout the movie, and Jill being famous. However in this version, the new ghostface is stalking Jill, and is threatening to tell everyone her secret. I wish it happened because a ghostface surviving into the next movie as the "victim" would've been really interesting.

Jill hands down is the best ghost face next to billy and Stu she completely caught me off guard. I like how she was trying to mirror Sydney how she wants the “fame” of being a survivor, she starts to gain the sympathy from everybody, the bf sneaking up to her room, and the only ghost face to damn near get away with it, I honestly loved this one just as much as the first.

“The girl you thought was the girl from Community” lmaooo it is!! Allison Brie. One of my favorite actresses!

Jill’s motive was incredibly ahead of its time with fame and doing whatever it takes to get it. Highly relatable now.

Scream 4 was ahead of its time which is why it got so much hate. This is literally the best one after the original. That’s not counting the other 2 The guy Charlie looks just like his brother. You can tell the Culkin brothers. And seeing Anthony in the movie knowing he spoofed in in the scary movie movies and his character is named after the actor that played Norman bates in from psycho

This is my favorite because I remember seeing it in theaters. It’s so nostalgic. Get used to Stab! Even the original is parodying movies. They’re all just fun and meta and a good time. 5 & 6 are good modern additions - excited for when y’all get around to those!

Behind Billy and Stu(and maybe Mrs. Loomis), Jill is honestly my favorite Ghostface. She was COMMITTED. She was UNHINGED. And she was FASCINATING. Her motive aged extremely well considering the things people do for even 5 seconds of fame in today's time. Originally, Jill was supposed to survive and Sidney was supposed to be in a coma. Scream 5 would be about Jill now being targeted by Ghostface(likely since being so famous AND connected to Sidney would put a huge target on her back). And I'm assuming the main conflict for that movie would be if Sidney regained her memories, Jill's entire story would go down the drain. But, Scream 4 underwent some last minute script changes and we got the fight in the hospital instead. Jill would've been the first Ghostface to survive a movie and almost achieve her goal. She almost broke the trend. But then people changed the scripts. Still an iconic Ghostface. Still an iconic movie

Originally it was supposed to end at the house party, Sidney wouldn’t have remembered the reveal of 4, it would’ve taken place in college with sidney teaching at the university, Jill & Kirby being students, there’d be a new killer that wasn’t Jill that would be trying to expose her, so she’d have to kill to keep her secret. SOOO interesting & sad we didn’t get that original ending to set all this up!

A fact about this movie: Jill and Charlie being the killers because of jealousy, fame and wanting to be the one in the spotlight worked perfectly with Rory and Emma. Since Emma Roberts was in the shadow of her wildly famous aunt Julia Roberts and Rory Culkin was in the shadow of his world famous brother Macaulay Culkin.

Kirby is the best character, he totally steals every scene. The perfect mix between Randy and Tatum. Jill is just a good character after the reveal. The motivation remains very current, 13 years later.

I can imagine Zuff’s mind is like going through the adventure time universe, it’s comforting and you will have some unforgettable wild adventures that makes your inner child come out and dance for a minute even during confusion. By the way, nice douche people exists they are like people who try to be the nice guy but end up being an absolute jerk if they don’t win you over. And yes Sidney’s agent is Annie from community, I think is the actress’s first horror film role since she mostly did comedy at the time. Kirby def is the best character in this movie. Literally stole every scene she was in. Also, Wes Craven said that Kirby's last scene was purposefully left with her still writhing on the floor because Hayden Panettiere's contract has a special "no death" clause and she can't die on-screen. Definitely a fan favorite character and for good reason!

charlie is so underrated as ghostface, he did all of the kills but unfortunately he didn't get the girl. and before someone comments about jill doing any kills, her whole plan was to become sid and be the final girl, that's why she put the blame on charlie and trevor because she knew that nobody would suspect her. jill had a clear elaborate plan that would have actually worked, which makes her a great ghostface too. jack cherry did a video on it and it had a lot of explaining on the kills and talks about deleted scenes where the evidence will tell you that charlie did the kills.

this is my first cinema Scream movie and it was AWSOME, i remember how people screamed, laughed, cried and at the end of the movie the entire audience stood up after the credits like any good fan of the franchise and we applauded for 5 more minutes. Best reveal ever, Emma Roberts was AMAZING and she is the best ghostface, fight me if u dare; also, this movie is from 2011 and Kevin Williamson (the writer) and Wes Craven (the incredible director) they were ahead of their time. Love the original, of course, but to me, this is the movie who elevates the franchise

Not sure if this was mentioned, but I read that the plan for the franchise was to make 5 and 6 follow Jill and Kirby. Allegedly, the original Scream 4 script, Jill, Kirby, Gale and Officer Hoss (Adam Brody) were supposed to be the only survivors and Jill gets away with being Ghostface. And then in Scream 5 was supposed to follow Jill and Kirby into college and they become the target of a new GF killer who knew the truth about Jill being GF and trying to expose her.

Sadly this one didn't do well in the box office so it shows that we did had to do a bit of a reboot in 5 and 6. I enjoy this as much as the original too

When Scream 4 came out, they originally were going to make a trilogy where Sidney survived but lost her memory of the Ghostface reveal. Jill would go on to live with the fame while in college (because she was never found out) but the Ghostface killings started again in college (like the second movie). However, ghostface knows what Jill did during 4 and eventually, Sidney remembered what happened. The original 5 and 6 were scrapped because of how poorly 4 did, which is a shame because I loved this movie lol If you watch deleted scenes, you see a lot more connections to the original movie but execs wanted it cut out and I guess there was a lot of interference from higher ups during the filming of 4.

Remember Sidney was bestfriends with Dewies sister, we learned that he did have a major crush on her in the first movie but after his sister dies, and he meets Gale, he feels incredibly protective over Sidney.

Absolutely the best since the 1st! Completely agree. Anna Paquin who was Sookie in True Blood was the blonde second girl with Kristen Bell in the beginning. Bryce is correct, it’s super Meta. It is the Roberts Residence because of Emma Roberts, Anthony Anderson who played the cop Anthony, his last name is Perkins, which is a nod to Anthony Perkins who was the killer in Psycho which then we have the stab movie with the shower scene, and obviously the beginning which is the movie within a movie. And the fact that the clothes that Trevor is wearing in the final scenes are the same style clothes and colors as Sids dad in the first Scream and he’s duct taped and tied up in the closet like her dad. It’s a meta wonderland. There’s more, but this is one of the more meta screams. Jill is no doubt one of the best Scream killers. The cold, calculated sociopath, who goes to those lengths to frame Trevor and Charlie, plus this movie was made in 2011, at the time, social media was only just starting to come into effect, so this movie was ahead of it’s time, it was one of the more valid motives. Like Jill said “you don’t have to do anything to be famous anymore” and even now, there’s a hell of a lot of truth in that.

Honestly Emma being such a horror girl I guessed her right off the bat as the bad guy, I wanted to be wrong so bad because she is in so many horror things but hey 😂

That girl from Degrassi was also the main character in the 90210 show...not the original show but the new one that came out a couple years ago.

I remember watching this at 15 years old when it came out and fully noting how accurate the movie was about the dangers of wanting to become famous in the age of social media. This movie has only aged better and better!!

I thought this movie was the most underwhelming in the end at the time. To me the hospital scene was the worst. If anyone there was actually working, they would’ve noticed that Jill seemingly flatlined once she ripped out her IV and took off her pulse ox.

So in this one, I didn't catch a few things right away till after I watched it a few times. 1. When everyone was getting alerted in the classroom about Jenny and Marnie getting killed Jill was the only one that didn't look at her phone. 2. When Jill and Kirby were watching Charlie killing Olivia. Jill had her phone positioned directly on them videoing it. 3. When Trevor was at Kirbys he was wearing a similar outfit as Sidney's dad Mr. Prescott in Scream who was also being framed. Also, Jill was wearing plaid like Billy in act 3 on Scream. 4. Also, whenever you do a rewatch with this one really watch Charlies facials. Like when Gale went up to him and Robbie about working together to catch the killer or how PISSED he was when Trevor interupted him and Kirby and how he left the livingroom. Then the very next scene you can tell ghostface that killed Robbie the killer was letting off steam the way he attacked him. Originally in Scream 4, Kevin Williamson wanted Kirby to die, but Wes Craven changed it to where he left a possibility that Kirby could come back. When Charlie walked away from her, the camera was still on her moving on the ground. They were going to end that one with "there's a live one here," and Deweys asks if it's Sidney, and then it ends as a cliffhanger before he got an answer. They were going to put Sidney into a coma offscreen in between 4 and 5 after the house scene, and then Scream 5 was going to pick up where she recovers but have no memory of what happened. Jill was going to be in college and found out that living Sidney's life isn't as glamorous as she thought. Now, there is a killer after her who knows her secret. The theories were that it was going to be Kirby wanting to get revenge on Jill for getting away with what she did to her and her friends. BUT because they didn't know if there was going to be a 5th installment, they didn't want to leave that as an ending for Sidney where it looked like she actually died when that wasn't the case. So they changed the ending of Scream 4 by adding in the hospital scene where Sidney wakes up and Jill dies. That's why Jill says to Sidney at the hospital that "this is just silly, this was supposed to end at the house" and Sidney replies back with "Well consider this as an alternate ending". Which was a good choice on Wes and Kevin's part because Scream 5 ended up not happening until 11 years later, lol.

In this woodsboro.... they are aware of the movies stab, that are based on their real life town. And in the stab francise "whats your favorite scary movie" is jusrt as iconic to them as it is to us... so thats why he keeps saying it. Its just a line from a movie.
