NOTE!
SEE IN FULL SCREEN, MAX RESOLUTION, AS CLOSE TO THE SCREEN AS POSSIBLE.
I've explained further down below why.
I planned on doing a home media center presentation for a while and still got nothing..
So, instead, I made a short demo here of how the Philips Ambilight feature paired with Philips HUE bulbs/strips is a game-changer for the experience of Home Cinema.
Yes, they really make size not matter..not like in other situations when they say it's not about size, and then it turns out it's all about size.
Joke aside, the Ambilight is a game-changer for me. I am at my third generation of Philips TV and yes for sure they are not flawless, but I wouldn't get any other brand anymore.
Ambilight serves 2 main purposes:
- reduce eye strain in a dark room (long time staring a bright screen is hurting your eyes. Having environmental light to compensate helps..or Ambilight reflecting turning your walls into passive lights)
- create a more immersive experience and oh boy .. it really does so. It's not only light that makes your wall visible in the dark. It is actually an extension of the action from the TV to your walls.
Your eyes are going to be focused on the screen while your peripheral see is going to catch extra information of the movement continued outside of the screen just like it does in real life.
I asked you to check this video in Full Screen and as close to the screen as possible so you can replicate the viewing experience that I'm getting on this setup.
This is basically a view from my couch.
