Back in your day were there TV show writers, who were just TV show writers that had never been hired to be TV show writers, until they were hired to be TV show writers?

@@anthonyd4771 the try guys are a KZfaq group, basically a group of KZfaq comedians that post videos of themselves 'trying out' various things on their channel. There are four of them and they each have sort of branded themselves in a particular way like how Eugene is really into fashion and Keith is really into food- but one of them, Ned Fulmer, built his whole brand around his wife and his family. It was a whole in joke about how he wouldn't stop mentioning his wife or his sons in every video for EIGHT. YEARS. and then it came out that he got kicked out of the group and the company for cheating on his wife with one of his own employees and it went utterly VIRAL, like i n s a n e l y viral

I feel they exaggerated it quite a bit. No question Loki and She-Hulk end that way, but What If and Moon Knight are both the other dimension thing and a big spectacle, whereas Hawkeye, Falcon, and Wandavision are just big spectacles.

Now that I think about it, Marvel should have hired Michelle and Robert King, the creators of The Good Wife and The Good Fight, to do this show. If there is someone who knows how to do lawyer shows with a lot of crazy stuff happening all the time, it's them. They probably would have nailed it and get the show some awards while at it.

It's actually not just the courroom stuff. In recent years there seems to be a surprising lack of writers on these big shows that have done a similar type of show sucessfully before. Which... I don't fully get if anyone has the money and the pull to get those people it's Disney (I mean there have been sucessful Legal shows on TV for over 20 years now) but... I guess they don't want to? ... Genuinly don't know why 😅

I like the part where Jen argues in court that people don't need personal privacy if they aren't doing anything wrong and then moments later commits attempted murder because someone violated her personal privacy. But at least she refused to take responsibility for her actions and violated her probation by breaking her inhibitor so that she could complain to the manager about how Abomination wouldn't take responsibility for violating his probation by breaking his inhibitor.
