New generation oleds can go years of regular use without burn in. As long as you turn the screen off when not in use and you hide the taskbar you're unlikely to experience burn in.

To plasma screens, sure, but not LCDs. LCDs can get "image retention," but unlike burn-in, image retention can be fixed.

If your language is not english it may be not so obvious. For example in French it's translated as "Écran de veille" which mean "stand-by screen".

@@loonathefoxgirl6375 It's DOOM or Wolfenstein (or maybe some other 1990s FPS). There was no ray-tracing back in the 90s, ray-tracing is a relatively new technology. There is a modder who recently implemented ray-tracing into an old DOOM game though, maybe that's what you're thinking of?
