If I file before the activator it gummy’s up!?!?

Andrea Severin I used activator before filing. You need to use activator either before or after you apply that last layer of base or it will stay wet. The activator is what makes the base dry.

Hi! I usually do 2 coats of top coat. Sometimes, but rarely, I need a thin extra 3rd coat to absorb the excess activator.

Does this method work with glitters? Especially two glitters (base color and tip)?

Sorry, it's taken so long for me to reply! I am still getting used to using KZfaq. I think glitters would be better to sprinkle on.

CeCe Compton I use my brand of liquids (Dipalicious Nails). It’s a 2 bottle system - base/top coat in one and activator.
