Taken from local PBS affiliate WPBT2 South Florida (then located in Miami and now located in Boynton Beach 🏝️, Florida) on the night 🌚 of February 13 (Friday the 13th), 1987, and originally broadcast 🔈 at 11:30 🕦 pm Eastern. Oh, by the way ↕️, Michael, don't forget to type in _Fish 🐟 Police 🚨👮🏻_ at the beginning of Season ❄️ 2, Episode 15 of _SCTV 📺 Network._

Kind of neat that they aired an episode with a parody of Masterpiece Theatre on a PBS station, wonder if they ever aired the Battle of the PBS Stars sketch.

@@Metlhd313 Maybe, just maybe. Oh, by the way ↕️, from 14:55-15:03, look 👀 for the golden yellow WPBT2 station 🚉 ID 🪪 bug 🐛 on the bottom ⬇️ right 👉🏻-hand 🙌🏻 corner of the screen 💻.

What is the show at 22:51? A classroom setting with someone named Baxter?

The early era SCTV is kind of weird to me. Sometimes it feels like they were trying to ape Monty Python too much. I like the later years, even the Cinemax year, the best

The earlier episodes, to me, feel more like 1970s Saturday Night Live with more absurdity, media parodies, and laughs. But the later episodes are hilarious too (the Cinemax episodes are kind of hit-or-miss to me, but it's not as bad as when SNL does it).

@@canaisyoung3601 the earlier eps were more absurdist (though still you had stuff like Vikings and Beekeepers on NBC) but I think that was a partially a reflection of syndication & partially a reflection of the eps only being 30 minutes I like the narrative stuff you get in the Network 90 years

I like how much they continued to mock the US, regardless of what stage of the series it was. We really are a deeply flawed and an unjustified bully of a nation. Of course, I'm dealing with a severely pinched nerve in my cervical spine right now, and I'm in a great deal of discomfort, so I'm really feeling cantankerous.

No, that would be Harold Ramis and his awkward acting. I keep hoping his sketches end more quickly than they do.
