I watched this episode yesterday and balled my eyes out at the end. He wanted to make her proud and just when he did something he knew she'd be proud of she's gone and she'll never see it, never know it. I felt that like a knife to the heart. I got engaged just as my mom found out she was sick and she died just a few months before I got married, the day my husband got to Germany, she died. She never met him, never saw me as a mom, never got to see anything else I did since then. The look in Cassian's eyes... Completely shattered. Ps:Sorry if I was dumping a bit of my issues here. Hope that's ok. If it's not I can delete and write a new one.

Luthen is the 'Darth Sideous' of the rebellion. He's pulling the strings in several different arenas: Finance / maintaining revenue streams / acquiring funds legally or illegally / establishing and communicating with terrorist cells \ placing moles within the enemy ranks ETC....and no one suspects anything. Just like when Darth Sideous pulled the wool over the eyes of the Jedi while doing all those exact same things. They both even utilize different personas.

I appreciate the time you take to discuss your thoughts on the show, offering a nuanced perspective. Really sets you apart from other channels doing a similar thing. The enthusiasm you have for the show is apparent and it’s not just born out of blind fandom.

Another great episode. Star Wars somehow manages to make droids as sympathetic as human characters. Legit teared up during B2EMO's grief.

It’s an odd idea though. I remember in Bad Batch they did in with those weird robots who always say Roger Roger. They same ones that get shot and blown up by the hundreds and are literal canon fodder. I don’t want the scenes where we see they have a survival instinct and experience fear. 😢

I love that they didn't get to see when Marve died coz it's just like how Cassian didn't get to see her died either. We get to feel what Cassian feel. What a great show.

Excellent commentary on Marva. This series elevates and expands the Star Wars universe by making the Rebellion a palpable existential experience. I think that everything will come together on Ferrix. We know some people are headed there. Perhaps Box will be brought to identify Andor. Luthen may show up for his own purposes. As for next season, I would like to see Andor participate in more successful missions and become an important symbol to others. I would like to see the rise of Mon Mothma. And that's just to get things started.

A couple of thoughts. I think Luthen will be the one who saves Cas from the Empire. I also think he's a Jedi Sentinel, or was. What he is now I'm not sure. I only know this series is the best SW content we've had in a long time. Great reaction and summation. Subscribed.

Fantastic episode! All the feels for Bix, Maarva's death Mon Mothma, Luthen and the weight of the rebellion, Melshi who is having survivor's guilt and then Cassian's loss. Then there's that fucking amazing ans really well executed space battle with Luthen. I am wrecked.

luthen's main reason for stopping saw from joining anto kreegyr isn't because he cares about saw. it's because saw knows who luthen is, and is a risk to luthen. perhaps luthen cares about saw a little bit, but that's not his main motivation.

Love sending out a tie bomber which is more for surface bombing or bombing giant ships to go after such a tiny craft.... Makes a bunch of sense.

Also I just realised something curious. She'll be turned into a brick. In Portugal there is an expression that translated word for word is "X is making bricks", which means X has died. As in "Have you heard about Marva? She's making bricks now!".

So do we think Luthen might be a Jedi? We know he owns a khyber crystal, his ship has those sabre like lasers, and the weapon that he had when he visited Saw looked a lot like a wooden lightsabre. As far as the general public is concerned all the Jedi have been wiped out so the guard probably wouldn't have thought much of it. Of course, the fact that his ship's laser things were red does give a darker possibility...

Is Marva really dead? She was looking out for ways to get into the imperial HQ and to aid the rebellion and we never found out where this went - it’s a real loose end.

Been paying attention to the puriteen movement in the US? Mon's daughter's behavior was incredibly relatable, it was weird. I've seen it in my friends' kids.

The lessons I hope this amazing show Lucasfilm and Disney take away Andor and its impact for future projects is that there is a very large if not majority of the audience are adults ready for mature intelligent stories, that we don’t need a show slathered in fanservice, that the *setting* can and should be open to a writer/creator/director to tell a tale that isn’t tied to everything we already know, and that time and effort can truly elevate a project beyond “cool things”. Not everything can or will be Andor, but I’m hoping this is a clue that they can be better with *whatever* mindset or work conditions went into creating this show
