I have no one to play with but I love buying rpg books. I love reading through them. Maybe one day I'll find a group.

We ran a 4ish month long campaign in Scum & Villainy and had a blast! It's one of my favorite games out there, and I'd run it again in a heartbeat. Our group strongly prefers creating our own settings, so we did some bending-over-backwards at the start to set up our own planets/systems/factions though it mostly mirrored the map that comes with the game. Still, it's always funny to have spent so much time playing this game, hear the names of the real locations and factions and be like "Who?" We ran the transport ship (your not-quite Millenium Falcon) and while that is very cool in concept, I did notice that the needs of jobs we ran as that ship kind of clashed with Forged in the Dark's expectations of "Heist After Heist." The other two ships, Bounty Hunters and Freedom Fighters, really gel with that, but making "Long Haul Space Truckers" fit that formula requires a bit more work and framing on your part to get the most out of the game system. But that could just be how I was seeing things!

Great review. My group recently started playing Blades in the Dark and we're thinking about moving to Scum and Villainy next.

Really appreciate any game that can balance party members that might oppose one another! Might have to check this one out.

Really enjoyed your review. Do you release an audio only podcast version? I’d love to follow you on Pocket Casts if possible. It’s a lot more convenient for me to listen than watch videos.

This game seems very much my thing. I've got a copy, but haven't finished reading it.

I actually run Scum and Villainy as an alternate to our standing Ravenloft 5e game. To give the DM a break or if we are short people that day. We are close to wrapping it up. As the stakes are much higher and the crew can retire with one or two big scores. I really enjoyed your Tiny Dungeon 2e video. I’d be very interested in your thoughts on Tiny Cthulhu if you get to that.

I wouldn't mind inter party moralquandary stuff as long as it remains civil .

Great video! I sent you an email regarding a ttrpg, please let me know if you received it. Awesome presentation, I appreciate being able to see the flip-through as you discuss the game.

Yes! I will be getting back to you shortly! I've been a bit slack with my emails as I've been moving house 😞. Really excited to get talking about TTRPGs

lol I just gave away my physical copy of Scum & Villainy (though I still have the PDFs). I'm in the states though, I don't think you got my copy.

also fun fact: Scum & Villainy was a stretch goal for the original Blades in the Dark kickstarter
