WE"RE BACK!! I couldn't stay away from SCUM. There have been some great changes that have really improved the issues with puppets. Its not perfect but I'm very happy with the fixes so far. I have decided to start a new character for this one as it didn't feel right carrying on with the last! We had a VERY good start to this adventure and found plenty of good things to get us started. This will be episode 5 as I didn't count "scum is broken" as an episode. Hope you enjoy the return to SCUM!

the solution is simple zombie dont spawn.. you go to the zone and you see zombies if are 20 you know that you can encounter 20.. Is so stupid zombie spawns 2 meters from you.. Just completely broken system.

Yea I hate when they suddenly spawn in my back out of nowhere and I can't even hear them. 0.95 has the most stupid spawning system I ever encountered 🤦‍♂️

Hey Recon, welcome back. I wouldn't say the puppet spawning is fixed, rather "adjusted." They will spawn further away from you, but they do the hilarious zombie shuffle (commonly called chumbawumba lol) from their spawn location to their "staged" location, i.e. where they begin their activities in the world. While they are running to their staged spot, they won't notice you, but obviously it's a real problem when there are a bunch of them chumbawumba running straight for your spot; and they often seem to do that. You can adjust to it, but yeah, wouldn't call it fixed. I hope you can continue to enjoy the game in spite of this until the devs actually fix it (it is in the dev updates they are working on the encounter manager). Thanks for the video!

I'll be honest. ..I find the chumbawumba hillarious. 😂 They have a lot of work ahead of them but it's in a place where I can say I'm able to enjoy it again while they work on the encounter system. I think they have learned a lesson that the encounter system for the puppets has to be unique and tailored for an immersive experience. I hope they apply these lessons to armed NPCs when 1.0 comes. Soon™️

U can craft bone needle from zombie bone, then craft boneneedle+threads-->sewingkit

On hardcore servers when horde is called soon you have 20 puppets after you. Also if you somehow can manage to clear small area then there's suddenly 3-5 puppets spawning behind you and some half or fully underground, even worse is when beeper does that... On servers that haven't increased puppet amount (and maybe their damage) things seem better but then you might not see puppets outside military areas, police stations or bigger cities/towns.

Hey why didn’t you make a bone needle from a dead puppet? Do you know about that?? If not chop one up and from a arm or leg you can chop up again and make a needle from the bones

I too play for the PVE aspect of this game. The puppet spawn issue didn't affect my gameplay negatively at all. Instead made it more exciting because puppets became more dangerous. On the flip side, the PVP aspect was negatively affected in a tactical way. SCUM is the best survivor game to role play in, but I need this game to be more challenging without making it cheesy. I need to struggle. Anyway, I'm glad you're happy now.

Ok. I've tested and it does work BUT only with 38 but doesn't not load 44....but that's still awesome that they included that amazing mehcanic that they went into that level of detail. IRL you can also do that just never try to put 357 in a 38...it may go boom...in your face! Thank you for the tip!

@@reconc4t I’ve only been watching gameplay on here. I want to get a gaming pc but don’t want to break the bank. Any suggestions on cheapest set up that will run scum and games like it?? I’m positive I could build one if need be with used parts.

My old pc was inexpensive. You want a minimum of 16 gigs of ram. I would recommend an intel i7 or whatever the amd equivalent is and the best bang for your buck for 1080p gaming is the 1660 super. That's what I started my channel with.

Nvidia 1660 supers are still available and very cheap now. You could get a tiny bit more expensive and get a 1660ti but not necessary for scum. That card will the vast majority or games at high to mid settings with well over 60 fps. I was averaging 70 to 80 fps on scum and that while streaming or recording on top

We need more control back. And I still think they need to consider adding the old puppet spawn mechanic back and save this new system for the armed npcs etc.

@@reconc4t yeah happened like a week or so ago. I hope it isn’t intentional. I figured they would have fixed it by now. Another issue is still the puppets.. their movement is super weird and bugged but i expect/understand this stuff being a game that’s not officially launched.

Well it's still in Early Access... Much to adjust and test, they are working really hard on it. Much trial and error until full release. So "fixed" is the wrong word to say in an Early Access game, in my opinion at least.

Actually if you play SP you can just adjust the game lore settings to be your acceptable level, it will a bit of trial and error but I assure you once you hit the right settings it will be on your liking. For the MP play you just need to find what server that fits with your play taste, even better if they have their discord address so you can check what settings they used.

@@Hopeless13 Well, I mean yeah it's more acceptable now than before the updates when the zombs can suddenly raised from the concrete floor/earth or it just popping out of nowhere in front of you (especially the 'hahahihi' zombs 😱) the only funny bug/glitch now are the chumbawamba zombs that coming to you in very random occasion.
