if you shave down the little tabs on the back of the wheel weight hex extensions with a dremel you can tighten the wheel nuts down all the way. the tabs hit the wheel bearings i shaved my treal ones flush and now they clear and allow you to tighten the nutts all the way

Crazy to hear about your experience with the injora brass inserts. I have the same wheels, and I also have the stamped steel from injora, and I’ve had no issues with multiple tires. I did have the same experience with the “venting” when I used the injora brass rings in the stamped steel wheels. In the ones on your bronco, it appears to be air tight for me using hyrax tires. Great video as usual!
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’ve heard of quality control issues with the brass rings where some sets just don’t fit properly. I wonder if I just got a bad set? I had zero issues with the set on the gladiator. I’m happy with them either way!

Who needs a summertime BLOCKBUSTER movie when there is your SCX24s and “Hell’s Gate” on “Mini Moab” to watch?!?!😝🍿🥤😎 Thanks for some “mod” ideas, I am going to purloin the battery and esc mod!!!💪🏻 And will definitely have to invest in those GWRC mods, too!!! That's awesome. Glad to see you stuck to it. I don't think I can use any of the lcg kit with the Furitek components. I made a tray out of a coffee container lid to mount the esc and tx on and flipped my battery to where it mounts sideways and sloping down to the back of the transmission. Going to run it at camp with a few different spring rates and also going to swap the body out for the 1978 chevy step side and see how that light body will perform.
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
What Furitek motor are you running? I am going to go brushless on the gladiator soon and that has the same LCG kit as the bronco. It will be interesting to see how I can squeeze it all in there...
@markgraves94292 жыл бұрын
@@CapeCrawlers I have both of their brushless. I started with the micro and it does a great job. I wanted to go to all metal transmission along with the spur gear. I found that the micro pinion is welded to the shaft on the motor and unable to change the gear. All the spur gears I found were plastic for the micro. So I bought their Kamoto that has the upgrade available. It is a beast and super smooth. The lizard pro esc will support both motors so the cost wasn't to bad the second time around. But either one of their motors are strong and smooth

Cool video, definitely looking forward to seeing how the injora motor works out. Have you tried playing with the foam size in the wheels? I'm currently running foams meant for a tire that is 5 millimeters smaller in diameter and it seems to give me a good squish factor while not compromising sidewall stability. Might be a cool experiment for you. Cheers!
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, that foam setup is one of my favorites. My favorite is the crawler innovation soft foams, but the smaller foams like your describe is a close second.

Man that thing is a beast! Love the build so far! Making small strides with my build, still waiting on parts. And for some reason my Bronco decided it doesn't want to go forward anymore, so I have to figure that out. It's always something with these things. Thanks for another killer video Adam!!
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It has come a looooong way from where we started. I've solved those throttle issues by changing the batteries in the remote. I've experienced the servo shorting out the esc also causing those issues too. Hopefully its easy fix on yours.
@jakenormandin54982 жыл бұрын
I just purchased this same truck and have been fallowing your build closely. One thing is I have yet to go to bigger tires but I feel like they won’t fit with having my suspension set up the same way your is. I’m not sure what our differences are. Also I got the brass rings prior to seeing this video, sorry to hear you had a tough time, definitely glad it went smoother for me haha.
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for following along! The wrangler tires I have now arent much bigger than stock and I dont think I could fit any bigger either. Not without trimming the body, which I dont want to do. I suppose with more width it could clear the fenders, but that would ruin the scale look I think. I may try throwing some scramblers on just for the heck of it.
@jakenormandin54982 жыл бұрын
@@CapeCrawlers I just installed the injora m/t and they are far too big. I also have rock tilted tyre super swappers but they are the same size as stock. Do you have any suggestions of tires that fit well that are bigger then stock or should I go back to the super swampers

Loving all the recent uploads man! Highest quality out on KZfaq here by far! Great work as usual. Just curious if you had any tips for building an indoor course and some of the materials you used to build your terrain. I've built a mini course with foam and boxes but recently built a large 4x8 ft area to build a course on and wanted to get ideas . Real materials like dirt and rocks are an option as it's in my garage and built strong but the low weight and low mess of spray foam is appealing. Thoughts?

@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
What do you use for a limiting strap?
@cardboardcrawlersrc88052 жыл бұрын
I use the sheeth/housing from lead core fishing line it’s then a hollow tube of braided nylon. I drilled a tiny hole in the center front of my esc tray and use a pivot ball between the two links on the servo tray and viola. It works great. It’s in the center do everything works just the way it should.
@cardboardcrawlersrc88052 жыл бұрын
@@CapeCrawlers I tie it into a loop. From pivot ball to the hole in the esc tray. I used to just go up to body mounts but not as clean as to the esc tray.

Awesome! I have the Bronco too. Have you tried putting the overdrive gears in the front diff? I'm thinking it would pull the front down putting in essence drag brake in the rear which should in theory help keep the front down 🤔 Awesome build!
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And yes, it has 23% overdrive gears in it currently. I honestly didnt see a huge improvement in the Bronco after install. I did put them in my JLU at the same time and it made a HUGE difference on that rig.
@mikesrcgarage2 жыл бұрын
@@CapeCrawlers Was that in both diffs or just the front? Sorry I have only seen a couple of your videos theses lil 24's are new to me but they are so awesome! That’s awesome that you made it hells gate!! I am learning a lot threw your bronco series ! I just bought my SCX24 bronco a view days ago so I am excited to see where I take my build. Do you recommend I get the same upgrades and kinda follow the series like you did , or would you recommend something different for my frost upgrades?
@CapeCrawlers Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I think you can use the series as a guide, but I would explore upgrade options based on what you want to do, and enjoy doing with your build. The best thing about the SCX24 is the option to personalize and customize. Take advantage of that and build your perfect rig. There are some baseline mods that are universal, and I detail them here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLV_qa6frJORenk.html
