Adam talking about Roman Josi winning the Norris trophy in 2020 was like some kind of sleeper agent activation code for me because I CLEARLY remember the guys doing some kind of awards predictions and Adam called Josi's season disappointing. I’ve had a (joke) theory that McDavid’s only intention this season has been to rack up assists passing to Hyman so that Hyman scores 60+ and beats Matthews for the Rocket. Thus proving McDavid is the more dominant player because he can make a workman type like Hyman more proficient at scoring than Matthews 😆

I'd go one further than Steve's suggested ejection for banging on the glass if there's a player's face up against it - I think banging the glass should be banned completely. If you're a grown adult hammering on the glass like a furious toddler, you need to go home and consider how you present yourself in public.

November 5, 1975 Red Wing Dan Maloney was charged with assault causing bodily harm after he sucker punched and then rag dolled Leaf Brian Glennie. He was acquitted 8 months later. Harold Ballard was so impressed that he traded for Maloney, who later went on to coach the Leafs.

Hah, more like "Roll Up The Rim To Nothin'" these days. Used to be, back in my day, you'd get an actual cup with a rollable rim, and you'd win a coffee or a donut every fourth or fifth roll. Now, I'm about 20 coffees deep in the app, and haven't won squat! I'd go on, but I'd quickly spin myself into a work/shoot promo worthy of an LFR after an EBUG win for the visitors.

In terms of police involvement with on ice incidents, I’m super surprised the Marty McSorley stick swinging assault on Donald Brashear didn’t immediately come to mind, given that you’re discussing a stick swing. The difference is that when McSorley did it, he two-handed that stick so hard into Brashear’s head that when he collapsed, he had a seizure on the ice and a grade 3 concussion. McSorley was suspended indefinitely, and was found guilty in criminal court for assault with a weapon but didn’t have to serve any prison time. The game was in 2000 and was against the Bruins and Canucks. And I’m pretty sure that was the end of McSorley’s career, actually.

During the discussion of the wizards jersey Steve mentioned “that’s a logo you submit as a joke”, that’s something that actually happens all the time. I’m a designer and it’s somewhat common place for designers to add in a throwaway logo to make the design that the team/designer is actually shooting for look that much better. The problem is, sometimes the idiots in charge will actually pick the throwaway one.

This isn't even hate, it's just something we can be better at. Adam, you're more than able to keep your opinion about U2 having no impact, even if most don't agree. However, what's brutal for the conversation is when your defence of it is just taking a dump on the teams outside the playoffs in the West, then barely acknowledging when Jesse shows all the playoffs teams they've beaten. Oh, and most recently won 3-0 against the team that knocked the Leafs out last year. Stick to your guns, dig your hole, but for sure acknowledge when you're making a bad argument and saying things that just aren't true haha. Love the pod! Also love Jesse and Steve not letting you get away with this preposterous take 😂

Playing in a pick up game, I got a tooth cracked all the way to just above the root, where the dentist used a paste that when dried with UV light becomes attached to the tooth and is porcelain i think. Funny enough two weeks later i got the same tooth hit with a follow through on a pass in a men's league game and had to do it again. Teeth taste like chalk.

I know, you need more than 1 goal to win a game, but I can't believe there was a missed high stick on Schenn in front of the net because a ref got sick and didn't come back in the 3rd, how is this even a league. Ovechkin hat. Red hat. Front is his name Ovechkin with the 8 under it like the back of the jersey, offset it to the left just a bit with the 9 and 5 about half the size of the 8 so that the whole thing is centered. On the back is the capitals logo, but the stick that is in the T spot is upside down so the blade is straight up in the air.
