Күн бұрынThis is on-ride POV video on the Sea Dragon wooden roller coaster located at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. The amusement park began as Wyandot Lake, was sold to Premier Parks, the company that became Six Flags. The Six Flags chain sold the property to the Columbus Zoo in 2006. The amusements reopened as Jungle Jack's Landing and Zoombezi Bay, but is now called Rides at Adventure Cove. The coaster was designed by John C. Miller and built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Coompany (PTC) in 1956. It is the oldest roller coaster in Ohio. The historic ride has been awarded status by the American Coaster Enthusiasts as an ACE Coaster Classic and an ACE Roller Coaster Landmark.

Thanks for posting! Brings back memories of the old wooden coaster at Edgewater Park in Detroit, gone now but not forgotten thanks to videos like these that bring back the feel even if not the same coaster.

Edgewater closed when I was a baby, so I never got the chance to visit it. I'm glad some of the old coasters like Sea Dragon are still around

It is an adorable little coaster. And for a wood coaster, it was pretty smooth.

The same coaster can be found at King's Island and for years at Hunt's Pier in Wildwood, NJ. I believe they were manufactured and built by the old Philadelphia Toboggan Company. This particular one is in excellent shape and well taken care of.
