I honestly still agree that *true* captaincy never came to sea of thieves. What really came to sea of thieves was paying to name your ship and being able to save items to your ship.

Just got the Glitterbeard a few weeks ago and it makes me proud to have become part of something truly beautiful. Hell, even made me teary-eyed (admit it, we all cried during the event) and I shall continue to make good friends on the high seas as I rock the Glitterbeard. Godspeed, you magnificent pirate!

@@owengautreau1233 it's a tribute to a developer who passed away, the main thing you have to do with get 8 players together to all play a really pretty song around a tree that'll start glowing and stuff. You can find it elsewhere on youtube, it's just something you need to see for yourself

I wear the gGitterbeard, and generally I don't shoot first. I always extend a hand in diplomacy first before resorting to combat, unless diplomacy is clearly not an option. That said, Glitterbeard according to the lore also understood that PvP is part of the pirate's life, and it's important to experience everything the sea of Thieves has to offer.

The only reason I shoot first is on hourglass pvp. Other times I see a ship I usually dont bother them or I try to alliance with them. I respect the man who passed and his message

@@CaptFatroll hourglass is different, hourglass both sides have the understanding that pvp is what they signed up for. not engaging as soon as possible on hourglass pvp would be like signing up to play in a chess tournament and then intentionally running down your move clock.

I wear the glitterbeard Al the time until somebody shows up with no reason and I have no chance of talking them out of a fight. After that happens, I always take extra care to switch to a different beard before blasting them to high hell

As a new player I just unlocked the glitterbeard with friends and a friendly server last night...I didn't know anything about it so I wasn't prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that was both the song and the journal, but after I stopped getting teary eyed for a solid 10 minutes it made me realize how amazing this game and its community is and I will now forever wear this beard in the name of friendship and kindness. Thank you Sea of Thieves for this experience.

I use glitterbeard, and while I do have some good fun with fighting, my first instinct when I see a new and young pirate is to give them a helping hand. Its also just much more fun when me and my bilge rat crew go collect loot as the ‘Giving Grifters’ to bring off to other ships while hoisting our vessel onto the outpost.

I wear the Legacy beard, mostly because I just like the rounded bottom. A lot of beards have this weird thing where there bottoms are squared or have whispy bits that spiral out. I just value the “I am dirty and don’t have much time to clean up, but I still try”

I think it's uncanny how accurate this is. I bounce between Grand Admiral for PvE grinds (primarily in the Roar), and the Executive Admiral for PvP (and that description fit pretty well, too lol).

I only really use the executive admiral -beard- mustache because I absolutely despise the look of my charachter's upper lip and refuse to use a pirate appearance potion just to fix that but the collecting riches part is spot on

3:06 I started playing a few days ago and while I don't use this beard, that is an accurate description of how I've been playing lol. Bought a bait crait and went to an active fort to fish. Came across a 3 man brig, tried being friendly, but they started firing on me. After a very long fight I finally sunk them with 4 cannon balls left. Must have killed each of them 3 times before they killed me once. After I fished in peace, completed the fort, cooked the fish, and sold all the loot

As a wearer of the grand admiral beard, I do hang around in the Devil’s Roar more often than not, grinding the treasure vaults. I don’t wear ashen gear though. I wear a motley of parts. Mix of things with the Gold Hoarders jacket. Going for a more traditional pirate look. I also solo a brig while doing it. Because I enjoy the challenge.

Damn, thought these were bogus, but as a Executive Admiral Beard man myself, you hit close to the mark. I am but a peaceful merchant, in want of nothing more to deliver my chickens and rum, and sail the seas all day. I will however, turn the seas red, in the valiant defence of my feathered friends. Don’t step to my Ceremonial Admiral cannons.

I'm basically a combination of parrot beard (skinny guy with a mohawk) and kraken beard (i can hit my cannonballs and chainshots but the other aspects of my pvp are lacking). I used to wear the parrot beard but now I always wear the kraken beard so I'm scared how accurate this was.

I use the castaway beard but do consider myself a sea-hobo, however I do a style known as bilge-crab which is a combo of bilge rat, crab and other more piratey clothing

I use the Grand Admiral beard but play more like Glitterbeard. Though I guess the Ruffian Sea Dog is also apt cause I usually end up being the helmsman in my crew.

I've mostly used the Legacy beard along with the grand admiral hair, at the moment I am wearing the wild rose hat, gloves, and boots along with the aristocrat jacket (I really wished I could still get the glorious sea dog jacket since that looks better with what I'm wearing) mercenary belt, and redcoat executive admiral trousers
