Yeah, I remember farming gold doing vaults in the fire area and it spawned when i was duo. Playing through the event and then getting the rewards was... Very underwhelming because fire loot is like 2x more valuable then base loot, I was expecting quite the haul only to be given pitiful amount compared to a vault

The Quest board is one of the biggest, under used, resources in the game. Available at every sea post, trading post, and port yet so rarely used because no one really has the motivation to store things on it that they could hand in themselves. I often will load it with cursed chests and gifts so that IF someone does take the time to grab from it, at least, they get a nice nugget of reward.

I personally think that Molten Sands should just be it's own event, it would have it's own skull cloud and have a ashen athena in the vault room. I think it would encourage people to actually go there and do the fort.

I remember right when this game released, just how much of a grind Pirate Legend was. I understand that it is an ever evolving game but the magic of that title that people would spend months trying to obtain has been long since lost. We need some of that old difficulty to return to the PvE side of the game. We can't keep relying on PvP to make things fun again. I love this game, and I doubt I'd ever stop playing, but that old feeling of difficulty has certainly faded as updates rolled out. I really do hope Rare does something to help this

See I don't think we should have a high grind count to make some reward feel "meaningful", because that is always, always going to vary between folks, but what the game really should increase, is the PVE Ai difficulty and how they approach players. This is the first game in a long time, where Ai really gives the player far too much breathing room, which leads to the player running away with plenty of time to spare, or simply hack the enemy to death (you can literally see Phuzzy and his friend effortlessly killing the boss and the other skelly's with absolute ease, it's not even a challenge at all). Make the content meaningful, but do not impose an artificially made up number grind game, because that isn't really fun, it still means we have to deal with extremely watered down boss and AI fights.

The AI is easy because the focus of the game is stealing from other players, it's not meant to be the end all xD The harder it is to get loot the less likely players will get loot, the less there is in the economy to try and steal... Cause at the end of the game it's a pirate game. Here's a hypothetical: Imagine you were fighting a good crew and then a skelly ship spawned on you at a harder difficulty (cannon aimbot like 2018 before the nerf) then ask yourself if having the harder Ai would be worth it .... Not only do you have to contend with players that are good but now you have to deal with god mode ai. If you want exciting ai stack some thieves Haven runs, you'll get Ocean Crawlers, Skelly's and phantoms all spawning at once after your digs, much more of a challenge. :)

@@dirge7459 ur right for sure that its not for everyone, but in every game of this variety that has ever existed, theres always a huge portion of the population that likes to grind very difficult things to show off and look cool, etc. games need this, this is what keeps people playing for years. if you make the things that a long time player with hundreds of hours grinded out, obtainable to someone who just started a week ago and plays casually, that person is going to quit and find a game where they can differentiate themselves this isnt just a theory of mine either this has been the death of many games and many competitive scenes in gaming, and im not saying noobs/casuals dont deserve cool shit, but it should be different cool shit

Worst problem is the inactivity timer. Literally can't take a dump while playing on campaign mode, doing a campaign mission, without being thrown out having to do it ALL over again from the beginning. Goes for any other activity as well. Lift your ass from the chair and you are out.

I hope they do something with the replayable adventures that will let people trigger the fort by starting the adventure and add some better loot. Maybe flame heart will claim the island and make a fortress on it that would be awesome

I've started doing this fort one time in Season 8, and it was a nightmare. I didn't have enough supplies, and I ran out of wood. I even used up every wood on the island. When an erruption started, I was there without any wood, so I set sail asap. As I was sailing out of the eruption zone, I couldn't watch where I was going, because I had to bail the water out of my ship. I realised I was heading into the Devil's Shroud, so I dropped the anchor. Unfortunately I was still in the range of the eruption zone. As I was raising the anchor, A MEG SPAWNED. I was about to give up, when THE VOLCANO KNOCKED DOWN MY MAST. In the end, my friend joined and helped finishing the fort. That was the first and last time doing this fort.

Don't forget that the geysers can spawn during the boss wave, and nearly instantly kill the boss. Sometimes, though, this happens in a bad spot and the key clips entirely into the ground and is impossible to pick up. Molten Sands is also particularly hard to do solo, as any volcano eruption means abandoning the fort entirely for five to ten minutes. I love Molten Sands, but I do think it needs an update to say, have an ashen lord boss, and the summoning of the ashen lord consumes the volcano's fury until the crew leaves the island (like during the adventure to stop the herald of the flame, but just for Molten Sands). And of course, the loot should be increased as well.

I've been saying this for a while now, but for the last couple of years, *it feels like whatever gets added to the game effectively has an expiration date.* I thought the point of updates was to enrich the sandbox, not distract from it? Things get left behind for YEARS before they have any chance of getting addressed. I suppose to some extent, I'm spoiled. After playing games like League, Apex, Dbd, etc. I've come to expect *major* issues to be addressed at least within a month ya know? That just doesn't happen with SoT. We spent like 6 months getting our ships launched to the moon by megalodons before that got patched! Dolphin diving across the entire map was possible for months! People could fly using the harpoons and board ships totally unfairly for months! Buried Treasure duping was a thing for quite a while! Silent boarding was a "glitch" that lasted years, to the point the whole pvp meta was shaped around it! 120 fov... do I even need to say more about *THAT* disaster? So when you say "Rare, we love new content, but please fix what we've got." I'm right there with ya.

Wanna hear something funny? the hardest part about sea of thieves is, you find actual content! Like take tall tales! I have more than 1k playtime in the game, and I was watching my friend play the game for the first time, and I just realized how much of the content is hidden for new players, which makes them quit before they even get to do all the cool stuff. I feel like they need to complete REDO the " TAB MENU " so new players can get a better overview of WHAT TO EXPECT. Im NOT saying they need to make it EASIER TO PLAY! But! make it EASIER to understand what this GAME HAVE! god.. rare sell themselves soooo bad when it comes to market their content for new players... Like most people just think its a boat you have and pvp sometimes you dig a chest up etc etc--- Wish they would actually start selling the GOOD parts of this game to new players. I remembered doing this fort on my first week playing sea of thieves (around december 2022), and it was a fun fort to do! It even attracted attention of other players which made the devil’s thirst pretty populated.

More stuff in the skeleton forts in general would be cool. For the quest boards I would love to do them more if anyone ever picked up the ones I left. I rarely see anything left by a player, just the auto generated ones, and out of the dozens of maps I've left I've only been notified of three of them being collected. Kinda sad too, I was hoping someone would have taken the one with four chests of sorrow.

I used to play during beta and when there was only animal cargo voyages for merchant. When i came back there was soo many new things but also realized its soo easy to get 150k and barely any event that gets people together to team up or fight against besides fort of fortune. They need to make event thats bring community together and requires more difficult challenges

Me and LadyDrop literally did this fort yesterday. Indeed it is fun because not having to check for incoming ships all the time, but also have a new vibe versus the other forts. Thanks for the great video.

I recently did this fort and quickly found out why nobody was touching it... The volcano seemed to erupt after every other wave and I would only grab like, 2 pieces of loot before it would erupt again and again and again. They say it erupts every 5-20 minutes but it felt like it was stuck at the 5.

The only negative for me with this fort is getting the loot back to the ship. Apart from that it's great, the most challenging fort with the most going on and unique island things like earthquakes and the water spouts. My crew and I did it earlier today while sailing even!

I only just recently experienced it. I have more than 1000 hours in the game, and it is the only one I've ever seen (at least that I've known about). I understood its rarity, and as I didn't really have a plan that day, I did it. Easiest fort I've ever done. The geysers pretty much did it for me. Loot was a pain to take back to the ship though, when you're solo, it takes a while going back and forth in that cave (no I did not have a rowboat). The thing I found odd about it, was for a fort, in one of the more volatile environments, it was the most underwhelming fort I've ever done. I could have probably made more gold faster if I had done voyages (mostly because of the eruptions making it take longer, and the long haul between the vault and the beach).

I did a vault gold hoarder mission the other day for the first time with my friend. It was really cool opening the vault, but we drowned because we didn't know anything about it lol. Got 0 loot from it, but all the chests looked like marauders chests and captains chests. I think it's a cool idea, but the loot seemed pretty bad.

I did MS today and it was so painful. We had to have someone on the boat at all times due to frequent seismic events and the fort was much laggier than the rest of the map. We then got rared three times on the long trek to the nearest outpost, Skelly Galleon, Kraken and Ancient Terror 😢

That fort was in my server today when I joined and I was confused on why it was in the Devil's Roar because I've never seen it there.Unfortunately it disappeared when I was going there,I didn't know it's that rare but was thinking it must have been an event.

The one time I have done this fort it was on open crew galleon because I was bored and when we beat it the key was stuck under the stairs so we went to finish the next world event (an ashen winds) instead

I’ve done Molten Sands a few times. Every single time, something goes wrong, which was spearheaded by the first time I had a kraken, Meg, and Skeleton Gally attack at the same time

Molten Sands fort is my favorite. The change in the fort design and the added volcano is a nice change. I'm saddened by the lack of love it gets.

I was able to sneak upon a merchant brigantine doing Molten Sands once, my crewmates told me "no-one does MS" but I insisted. There was heavy fog so they never saw us coming, it was a blast.

As a solo player. Mermaids in vault rooms and stuff would be amazing. I feel like most of my failures are due to tunnel vision on loading loot and not watching my surroundings or being unable to because of vault locations. Ive been playing for maybe a few months now . Still grinding to pirate legend

I think he was being sarcastic. All the additions and changes to the game lately have made everything too easy. From the events themselves, to how quickly you can load up and sell. It gives zero opportunity for player interactions. I don’t even bother trying to fight over a fort anymore, because unless they are starting it just as you arrive, most likely it will be finished and loaded long before you even get there. Players complained so much about wanting PvE servers and instead of actually giving it to them, they created hourglass and made PvPing in adventure mode feel like a waste of time. So now I guess every server is a PvE server

I mean, I’ve done a few gold hoarder vaults solo but there is no good way to get all that stuff out of that long hallway and back up to the surface and to where you parked. Absolutely awful.

I think servers are generally more Pve than pvp focused now. I did like a 7 hour session yesterday and decided to give my supplies to a crew instead of letting them go to waste (I had a LOT of supplies by then). It took me over an hour to actually get in touch with a player because everyone I saw and tried to approach just ran away.

@@Eastonfection One big issue with having the collection and selling of loot be slower (like it apparently used to be) is that it's incredibly boring to walk back and forth slowly doing it all. I started playing about a month ago and I've seen videos, and heard stories, about how people used to have to collect and sell loot and it sounds terrible. Had I started playing the game then I probably would have immediately dropped it and never came back. There is nothing fun about slowly walking loot long distances repeatedly. We need to find ways to promote more PvP in the open world without making the game a complete drag to play. I really think if they worked on some sort of MMR system that pushed players who actively seek PvP together and left the chill PvE people in their own spot this would immensely improve the game for everyone of all playstyles. There could even be things like adding another optional grade to all emissary flags that requires a special voyage unlocked at grade 5 (maybe different from the current ones already unlocked at grade 5) and when you chose to do this voyage to unlock grade 6 you're displayed on the map to everyone during it and until you lower your emissary. I'm sure there's a bunch of things like that which could be added that promote more PvP for those who are willing to risk it for bigger rewards. As for making certain PvE content more difficult, I agree. I think having the top end of content being actually challenging would make it feel more rewarding. Maybe not necessary have it be more grindy, just tougher requiring more skill. I think that would require making the close combat system much more intricate than what it currently is though as right now the only ways to make it more difficult would be to make the enemies attack more frequently or give them more health... And both of those options just make things either more grindy or just really annoying to deal with as there is no way to really block/evade projectiles and the combat itself isn't really all that deep and engaging.

I see Molten Sands activate all the time. It's just that it's so out of the way that people can rarely get there before it de-spawns. I would like to see Rare make it possible to spawn at Morrows Peak Outpost when you first load into the server. People would be more likely to play in the Devil's Roar if they're already there. If there's already someone in the area then the fort would be less likely to de-spawn before it can be started.

I have a couple hundred hours in this game, I spend most of my time doing world events so I'm always going to skele forts, and I didn't even know a skele fort could happen at Molten Sands 👀

I do skelly forts whenever I see them. I was able to sink a brig solo and finished molten sands myself. it was a lot of fun!!!

Idk about you, but the only "player interactions" i experience nowadays are with mutes that open fire immediately, no text chat, no mic, no pirate chat, no emotes. The game has become Sea of Anti-social twits not Sea of Thieves. The entire core gameplay loop of Sea of Thieves teaches you NOT to interact with other players/crews, which is pretty fucking stupid for a multiplayer game. They should really just give PvP and PvE servers a try, pve focused players can have social adventures because they wont be paranoid about who is going to fuck over whom and pvp focused players can keep on keeping on without a word. They can add more and more pvp and pve specific commendations with cool cosmetics to incentivize people to do both, whatever the solution may be, the current sandbox is boring as fuck because nobody wants to interact with each other and it's honestly sad because the game is beautiful and a blast to play no matter what you focus on.

As much as i agree we absolutely need improvements to existing content, why the dig at Rare making the game easier? If anything, that needs to keep happening, i can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that moving dozens of items from one spot to another just so you can harpoon them all to your ship doesn't have an ounce of "magic", its a tedious process that wastes time and does nothing to entertain. Its pretty damn ironic as well that this was said right before "we content creators speak for the community and say what they want", nah fam, i speak for me, as i'm sure other people speak for themselves, and this game needs many improvements to reduce its tedious grindyness while increasing the risky and exciting encounters we already have. So yes, the game needs to be 'easier' so the parts of the game that are actually fun, keep being fun.

I somewhat agree because having easy things to do means the game is more attractive to new players. But idk about moving stuff magically from a vault onto your ship. That'd make stealing loot a very one-sided thing that goes in the favor of whoever gets inside the vault first. Which would completely throw off the experience of stealing from someone else's vault or protecting your vault from other pirates.

@@glacity Stealing stuff in this game, least in my experience, has always been about dealing with the person ur stealing from directly. Either you deal with them and grab the loot off their wreck, or you steal the loot and deal with them as they come after you. Either way, the getting of the loot doesn't make the game easier by changing its method. Also, im sure many experienced players will enjoy not having to repeat the same process of moving loot after 500 hours in the game

@@lewd2851 Why not just sell the loot in the vault then? Selling loot got way faster with harpoon and Sovereigns. Nowadays you don't even need to follow anyone to the outpost anymore, bcs they sold everything before you even get there. Most people don't stack loot anymore, bcs it's so fast to just sell quick at the next outpost before doing the next event or quest. Game gets more and more easy. I understand that it's also nice to be able to not spend 30min selling stuff. But I will never get how people now start to complain about having to move the loot 20m from the vault to some point on the island to be able to harpoon it. SoT has way bigger problems than "having to move the loot out of a vault"

Theres two big problem with the quest board. 1. People use it to troll by burying dumb stuff like snake baskets and empty crates. So people don't bother with it. 2. Players will take other players maps off the board just to throw them in the ocean. On a side note, rare keeps making the game easier because they either can't or won't do anything about the hackers, which seem to becoming more and more prevalent. Nobody wants to spend a couple hours struggling with intense PvE just to get rolled over by a hackers who teleported 10 kegs onto their ship. I unintalled the game and moved onto something else.

my number 1 fort in entire game, i spend all the time in devil's Roar and rarely this fort appears, and i have done it many times and it is sad that this fort is in this state right now.

In my 500 hours i only saw this once, while in the middle of doing a LoTV. Unfortunately when the final skeleton appeared the island volcano erupted and i had to hunker in my ship instead of fighting him. He then died to a geyser but i never found his key. All that time wasted.

I think I've been to this fort like... 3 or 4 times in total. only once when it was active, and that time I was more of an escort for a ship in our alliance that wanted to do the fort. so I never actually completed it myself. The other two times was for the adventrue and once to shoot myself into the volcano. I still hope that I see an active one and get the chance to complete it at least once, even if it doesn't give a lot of loot. And I agree, many changes made the game way too easy. Forts and Ashen Lords especially were already easy to solo, now they're just pathetic. but I am somewhat happy to not have to spend an hour on a FOF anymore, just to get into a two hour chase afterwards. but even then, i miss the boss rush at the end. makes it feel less special now.

I actually got two molten sands fortresses to spawn back to back basically one day in the roar I didn't know they were rare at the time

Sovereigns helped make the game so much more bearable than before. Having to walk back and forth between different factions was an actual chore. Glad they added something to make selling flow better. With that being said i do agree there should be updates on the older content and make them better than they are now.

This shoud be were ashen lord event can take place also ghost ships its perfect we dont have a ghost ship event in devil roar and the ashen lords came from the roar

I think the biggest problem is not rebalancing things after a new update. The Fort of Fortune is a good example. It spawns FREQUENTLY. So much so as you say for this video, that there's almost no point in doing the other skele forts, veil voyages, ashen lords, mermaid shrines, etc... FOTD is still good, and chests of legends are still decent, disregarding either the rarity on your athena voyage, or the time required to acquire one on a veil voyage. Sadly, everything else falls off badly. I clear 2 mermaid shrines with no emissary and make 70k, that takes 10-20 minutes? (I'm speaking solo, not really trying to rush through) whereas a green skull fort would take me probably 15-20 minutes to clear, possibly longer if I'm not properly equipped, and no emissary would yield I'd say probably 50k? I'm also including the loot process in the clear time, forts are a bit more tedious to loot. Yet FOF's give over 100k easy no emissary, and with the new scaling dependent on your crew size, they can be done rather quickly. I hardly see green forts, but I always see FOF's and FOTD's. Ashen lords are always up but no one ever does 'em but new players, ghost fleets go for their whole duration without a single player showing up, and these days, I don't even have to worry about someone intercepting my veil voyage on the final chapter. The reward on veil voyages if you can take the whole thing is rather good, yet it doesn't happen. And even if you're not out for the money, the reputation you can earn by intercepting someone on their voyage is tremendous! If you can steal the reward for a veil voyage without doing the voyage and go turn it in to reapers, or hell even to athena's if you want to, is great! The other big problem is that the lack of value basically prevents anyone from trying to pirate anything but FOTD stacks and FOF's. If someone is doing either one of those on your server, you basically have the all clear to do whatever you want without worrying if someone will come attack you. If they brought the average takeaway from all the forts DOWN except for FOF's, and make them spawn less, we'd have a larger incentive to go after the smaller world events; OR they could scale the rewards UP on the rest of the world events and endgame voyages to account for the cost of items at endgame, and provide incentive. I have lots of ideas for improvements, but some of them they consider to be "unbalanced" or "game-breaking" like upgrades for your ship, improving max speed with no wind, slowing down burn times, increasing cooking spots, adding a single cannon to the bow of the ship, stuff like that. Or completing voyages/tall tales/commendations (however you want to get them) to unlock new weapons, like a hand cannon, single shot, 130 dmg for the first 5m, then 55 beyond with a massive dropoff, grapeshot pistol doing 75 dmg if you hit all shots, 6 shots at 12 a piece, similar to a blunderbuss but not quite as strong due to the quicker reload, make the rapiers/heavy swords swing slower/faster and do more/less damage accordingly.

They could definitely create a modified fof with and ashen version of the loot but make it more impressive so its a bigger deal

I’m so lucky, I never knew this was so rare. This was my second fort I raided with my friends and I didn’t know it was that rare. That’s crazy I got it so early on while playing SOT.

Personally i'd say rework molten sands entirely and make it a counterpart to the fort of fortune; say it's the "Fort of Fire" swap the regular skull icon to Flameheart's old face and make that fort be themed around the reapers; instead of ashen treasure add new treasure themed around the reapers and flameheart himself; instead of a chest of rage; add a variant "the chest of infernal rage" which instead of burning up occasionally summons a meteor shower around you that can damage ships,players and npc enemies and is worth about the same as a red chest of legends and also make it a guarantee way to find the box of wonderous secrets. A answer to the chest of fortune; as for the boss; why not make it be a "echo" of flame heart. Basically it works exactly like a ashen lord but slightly buffed and it looks like a ghost flame heart like the one you see when you get the skeleton curse. Lastly; load up the place with loot. Make it be asworth as a fort of fortune

This Fort should have the entire ground covered by loot with 2 Chests of Rage and a regular Athena or 1 Chest of Rage and 1 Ashen Athena at the top of the pile for the amount of time it takes to sail there get it done and leave to sell. It should be only slightly less lucrative then a FoF since it's such a pain to deal with.

While some updates to molten sands and to Devil's Roar in general would be extremely welcome, art he same time it being this abandoned wasteland provides a great region for newer players to figure out the basics and make their way to PL status mostly being unbothered by pvp threats they can't handle yet. Now, whether it is a good thing or not is up to debate, but I sure did enjoy staying in Devil's Roar back when I wasn't confident enough in my skills to deal with other players (I still can't deal with them, but now I don't sweat about it too much).

can confirm i have about 300 hours in SOT and i have seen a molten sands spawn once and it despawned before we could get there. i really want to give it a go but the game says no, at this point im sure we will come across a shrouded ghost before molten sands spawns again and that is saying something.

Honestly an easy way to fix some of the things like with how easy it is to sell to sovereigns compared to the other trading companies is similar to how they still made selling to HC worthwhile in its own way. Increase the amount of gold given per item by a decent-but-not-overly-high percentage if sold directly to the specific faction instead of the sovereigns. that way people would have to decide if they wanted to sell quickly or if they wanted to make more gold. Also certain ones of the basic skeleton forts need a complete overhaul. like, not all necessarily, but some of the forts need to be more difficult and have a simple change to the loot acquired.

The goal in this game is to gain money be it the gold or the doubloons, so crippling the sov's down to "quicker hand ins" just makes them seem far worse than the lager payouts, and if you're talking "tiny differences", then you've kind of made it a pointless tweak to begin with. You either make the sovs the same or you make them weaker than the other trades. Their existence was designed to just make handing in loot easier. The issue with Hunters not having an option for emissary, is that Rare didn't think to do so, so handing ins tuff like gems and rubies is better than nothing, but they should really buff the others, instead of crippling the Sovs. Don't nerf a new option to make the old stand out, simply buff the old to keep in line with the new (this also means not making the sovs sound like a waste of time like "you can only drop items to them faster"). Also they still ened to fix Fort Merrick, since all I'm seeing from ppl visiting that port, is how bad their framerate goes when even setting foot at the docks, let alone in the port itself. Absolutely needs an overhaul. Too many times have I run into skelly's/sharks/mer-folk/sea beasts that give me far too much time to react and fight back. The only ones that seem to give good chase and stick around longer are the ghosts. There should also be unique ways of dispatching the AI too, since skelly's burn to fire, ghosts should be dispatchable via blast bombs, sea creatures via heavy attacks like the sword lunge/blunderbuss.

If this fort had a chance to give " The Chest Of Wonderous Secrets " then it'd be worth doing... I've done this fort 2 times, and the loot is meh as any other fort, but more annoying to deal with bcus of Volcano, earth quacke, etc... My first time doing this fort we also got stuck on the rocky beach and attacked by a galleon, somehow survived tough and got the loot

I really wish I understood people's obsession with wanting more leveling. Don't you realize it isn't content? It is just numbers going up for the sake of it.. Why do you want this? Why do you need this? It's a carrot on the stick even if they tie it to unique cosmetics. It is still not content.

I do agree to an extent that things can be improved but i also don't agree that the game is too easy. At least when it comes to the tediousness of it. Since a number of improvements made the game far less so which as someone who plays alone or with 1 friend was greatly appreciated. I can't speak to the player side of things since I've not been super into it more often than not. Since at least on console the interactions are basically none existen and involve mainly getting peppered immediately after spawning at an outposr for no reason without any chance to interact.

Another serious problem IMO is hourglass. I want to be able to just jump in and fight, but I love the experience of playing with open crew who also want to fight. Trying to hop servers to get a brig of people that actually want to do hourglass can be so frustrating and take forever. I wish that Rare would not have gotten rid of Arena, and instead would've incorporated hourglass into it. Imagine bringing back Arena alongside hourglass. Back when you could click on the Arena button and then select open or closed crew, it was a much better way to find other people willing to do pvp. I don't mind solo hourglass, but man it gets boring, so being able to find a crew with much more ease would be huge to make it more successful. I wish that they would open up the Glorious Sea Dog again, and make it clickable from the Main Menu. Imagine having Glorious Sea Dog on the Main Menu, clicking that, loading into that old beautiful place we all miss, and then searching for a crew. It could have an option menu to do either old style Arena or a table dedicated to hourglass. I'm throwing out random ideas here that might not be feasible how I stated them, but in essence I'm hoping and praying that Rare bring back Arena and incorporate it into the main game again alongside hourglass, because I feel like it was a complete failure after the first few months. I love hourglass, but on top of the terrible rewards system, cheaters, and few incentives to actually play hourglass, it's easy to see why fewer and fewer people are partaking in it. I wish a content creator would make a video on bringing back Arena with their perspective and nuance, so that Rare might actually consider it, instead of wasting time on creating adventures that only last a few weeks...

This fort is a curse as it is a blessing. The vault it has should've so much more loot since it's much bigger than the other ones; I hope rare makes it a Fort a Fortune where it'll spawn the exclusive ashen chest of Legends instead of the regular one. I've been to this fort a few times; It expects so little traffic that I often enjoy solo'ing it in a realm that puts off a lot of players.

Need to put a FoF with an ashen Athena here at a minimum to make it worth showing up. Maybe an ashen winds skull in the vault or 2

They just have to make FoF spawnable there, and have the loot be ashen, ashen athena (and make it double value like all other ashen loot instead of 1.5x) and ashen CoF

Yeah this definitely speaks to how I’ve felt about this game so far - I just started playing a week ago and hit Pirate Legend yesterday. I feel like I’ve experienced a solid variety of the game so far, but most of it felt incredibly easy, like an old N64 game from my childhood. This game needs some difficulty outside of the (somewhat rare) decent PvP crew.

The PvE isnt hard on purpose. The hard part is the PvP in this game. Just go PvP instead of hitting skeletons with a stick and you will enjoy the game more.

@@mikegriffin3388 Youre probably the Person who wants an easy Mode in dark Souls. Its literally the core gameplay to be able to Always Attack anybody. This Game is Player Interaction driven. You actually have a Tutorial to get to know the basics. If you cant handle the Game the way its designed and thought Out, maybe its Not for you, Go Play another Game. This Game does NOT Need pve Servers or anything Like that.

SoT seems to have an issue a lot of live-service games have Add more and more new content forget about old content, either in part or entirely so by the time the content they added becomes stale, they already got new content lined up.. rather than, yknow.. preventing said content becoming stale in the first place

I would love to say make it a mega fort, but we have enough of those. My better suggestion would be make if Fof and remove fofs. It spawns an ashen Athena and the Chest of Fortune. Tons of ashen loot 2 chests of rage and stronghold stuff. Make it as hard as the original FOF and when you reach Ashen Lord the volcano erupts like in the adventure.

I remember how easy events were when I was playing. But due to toxic players I’ve quit entirely, haven’t played in over three years. Even the people I usually played with just quit for various reasons. Maybe I’ll come back.

ALL world events, like FOTD, should be player-initiated vs. random spawn. It’s no coincidence why FOTD is still a popular event. It’s because players began it, so there’s a solid chance for interactions and battles.

We didn’t have harpoon back then only rowboat . I will get ride of all the forsaken islands , like the arena . Map is to big and ship count is to small

I’ve been only playing when new stuff comes out. Once I’m done with a season I quit and play a different game for like 10 weeks. Unless new stuff drops.

As a day 1 player that comes back to play every now and so, this perfectly describes my feeling. To the devs reading: we love the game so much, but please do a rebalance/put old content on par, so everything remains equally rewarding to play.

I don't know like I'm not against them adding new content but for an MMO and I consider SOT one. They don't really have expansions like to keep the old content fresh. Why don't they just remix it like what if everyone's in awhile when you went on a voyage for skeletons you'd get the stronghold variants. When you enter the cold hoarder vault. What if it was guarded by skeletons in the sirens? What if as a merchant you could have voyages where you had to sell like pieces of treasure like a gems or curse treasured and skeletal forts can be guarded skeletal ships While the final boss can be replaced with an ashen lord variant occasionally I could be wrong but that way all the other content in the game gets to mix with all the other content so it had new variants that way the old content gets updated with the new content. So they stay relevant or maybe I'm thinking about this the wrong way

i do agree the normal skull fort sucks ashen winds is easier hit a boss with a few cannon shots and you get alot more loot. it does need something like even just giving it a guaranteed chest of sorrow would be something so when you open it and see how bad the loot is your not the only thing crying 😂🤣

I'm ngl, i wish i had someone to kinda help me out. I have less than 20 hours, ill go to the forts with the ghosts, and do maybe one skeleton fort, but that's how i make money, cause idk how to any other way tbh. idk. There's a lot of stuff that i don't understand. plus im just bad in general lol.

The regular skull fort loot is just terrible. They should be more rewarding if it a world event. I still wish they'd give us the option to play the game in 3rd person. I think it'd help with movement and combat since they will never fix either. If they sped up the movement of both pirate and sailing just a little bit the game wouldn't feel so slow. Everything just takes so long to do.
