Seabees Begin Construction of Expeditionary Medical Facility - GUAM

4 жыл бұрынDEDEDO, Guam (April 20, 2020) Sailors assigned to Task Force 75.5 raise a tent during the construction of a 150-bed Expeditionary Medical Facility onboard Naval Base Guam. The EMF will provide expanded medical capabilities in support of DoD’s COVID-19 response and will enable forces to be postured to support Guam and the region if a Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission is requested. Dad served as a Seabee back in 44. He survived battling the weather, jungle rot and skirmishes with the Japanese infiltrators sneaking into the camps at night. Like most WWII vets who suffered and survived, he did not want to talk about his experiences with the war. Kudos to all you current Seabees (men and women) that carry on the tradition of "we build, we fight".

Thank you Mom for your childs service to America. I was in the Marine Corps 73-77. My Mom & Dad were so proud me too. In the 70s the military was not respected like it is today. Again thank you for giving your child to the service of our great Nation. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sergeant.

U.S. Navy Seabee's. Quality Building and Fighting World Wide Since 1942. Founded by ADM Ben Morrell. The most unrated men and now women in the Military. We are one of the smallest force's that do more with less. The Seabees wrote WW II history from the very start. No one in the world can do what we do with what we have. PRIDE.

They say we’re a dying breed 💔😭 which is hurtful because I love being a builder. But also they keep sending us new troops and cross raters so if you have joined ! Then by all means if you wanna be a Bee then look into cross waiting when you can. If you haven’t graduated or gone to boot camp yet! There’s still time to change your job. Look into the 7 Seabee rates (google them) and read about us. We’re still very much alive.

I am surprised that these Seabees are not wearing OD hard hats vs the tan ones that are displayed. The Chief's community should be in an uproar. Mind you, I am being quite sarcastic concerning the naval caste system when it comes to uniforms. All the other five services wear the exact uniform for all pay grades. The Navy demands that E-6 and below be treated as mere serfs.
