Great Job! you inspired me to upgrade mine as well. I used a sliding door bracket for the mount - prime line sliding door roller W/ 1/2 in. offset item # n 6517 - fits about perfect just have to enlarge the holes a little. Thanks for all your hard work to make it easier for the rest of us.

cool idea. does the unit roll forward without the wrap around plastic? I am assuming that you installed the Garmin 943xsv, right?

Thank you for the information and detailed video. I bought my first watercraft, a 2018 Sea Doo GTX 300 Limited at a local boat show... recently sold it to purchase a new 2022 same model, (just ordered.) I'm new to fishing... I plan on outfitting this new ski to sightsee and fish from. I'd like the larger screen and the side to side transducer so I'll be following your lead. I'll be adding that rear extension to my ski as well for added room... sure looking forward to it! My plan is to travel the U. S. with ski in tow taking in the waterways and enjoying the sights... 👍 Thanks again! I'm sure I'll be back with questions if you don't mind, (new subscriber.)

Try mounting your jigsaw upside down in a bench vice (not to tight) - then you can use both hands to guide tricky cuts

Hey Mike, great job on the install! Do you have any footage of the twin transducer setup working out on the water? i just got a fishpro and thinking about doing the same upgrade.

No, sorry. Sold it one week after I did all the upgrades. Buying a much bigger boat. It worked perfectly at all speeds. Sitting still and idling the jet creates some sideways disturbance, but as you know sidescan only works to make a picture if you are moving. cheers.

Incredibly resourceful. Any chance you could link where you got the plastic for the custom bracket?

Thanks Lucas. I just went to my local surplus store called Skycraft parts and found a black box that happened to be made out of ABS plastic. You could probably find something similar on Amazon. I think the “plastics 2000 ABS sheet” is probably the same material. Just select the thickness you desire. Cheers

Great video! Do the transducers pick up washout or have any issues reading bottom / water when slow trolling or when idle?

Yes, if I am sitting perfectly still the wash interferes with the image, however you must be moving forward for any sounder to create an image, so not a problem. A normal idle forward was sufficient.

Hi, I am trying to accomplish this after seeing your video. I am having the same issue with removing the deck extension bolts. I was able to get channels locks on one of the plastic covers. I was not able to squeeze it the plastic enough to keep the nut from turning with the bolt. Did you know the plastic off to be able to get to the nut then reattach them with Flex Set?

Yours must be really tight. I was lucky as mine came right off.
