There's a long list of people I would not like to be backhanded by. Sean O'Brien is fairly high up on that list.

Fear of spiders is aracnaphobia, fear of tight spaces is claustraphobia, fear of Sean O'Brien is logic

Credit Toulouse for not citing him over it, deserved or not it's violent conduct and Nyanga had to go off. They were gracious in defeat, Toulouse are a club with true class.

@UHtiger actually, as he is a flanker (or LOOSE forward) he is perfectly justified to look up, and when the ball comes out of the scrum he may break. Otherwise no.7s would b

@GuinnessPremiership1 When O'Connell done it to Thomas, Thomas was after letting go plus the scrum wasn't on the Munster try line, so Jonathan Thomas wasn't preventing PO'C from defending a try opportunity. Unlike the scrum last Sat. when the scrum was right on the Leinster try line, Nyanga was pulling Sean and wouldn't relent, so Sean hit em a deserved backhand............however I do feel Dave Pearson would have been more lenient on Sean O'Brien if it was in the middle of the field

Preventing someone from making a tackle in that position is a yelllow as it is. Got what he was asking for
@onvasenmelee99358 жыл бұрын
oups, I thought I heard SOB had no background before punching Papé ant that was the reason he had been suspended only for 1 game... this is quite ironic, isn't it?
@Driver26163 жыл бұрын
Instead of throwing a slap into Nyanga’s mush, Sean O’Brien should have requested his captain to insist that the try go to the TMO for adjudication. It would certainly have been disallowed, with a yellow card for Nyanga.........

So SOB does have previous for punching French players.

@flipjack42 Man if you watch rugby you would know that every team does it and Leinster are champs at sending guys without the ball crashing into the D and blocking possible tacklers. If you don't believe me just watch the highlights of their win in the H cup final last year. I was rooting for them but you've got to be honest refs never make those calls. O'Brien should have been carded...just a yellow but still. It was around he eye zone too so he could have been suspended a few games.
@momope2113 жыл бұрын
O'Brien made the first offense by leaving the scrum prematurely. To make justice, Nyanga did the second offense by holding him. And then SOB punched him or whatever you call that I don't care: third offense. The referring is quite good, the try is perfectly valid. It makes me laugh when I see Irish saying the french cheated. It's funny that everybody thinks other are cheater. This is a lame excuse. During that wonderful game nobody cheated, the best team won, end of the story. GG Heaslip also

Sorry, do you guys know what playing flanker is about? Nyanga was cheating, but thats the whole point of being a flanker! Yeah he got a smack in the face, but his team got a try!
