What do you guys do about hammer hardness, do you custom each to customers preference, or is there some sort of swap/manipulate at home method?

We treat the hammers with various coats of hardness depending on how the piano is speaking. We generally know the pianos intimately by the time we are finished with them. They will tell us what is needed.

I will no doubt regret writing this (bearing in mind it is apparently a heinous crime to offer a humble and NON spiteful OPINION) …… sigh, but here we go. I love the sound, appreciate his ability, I love a bit of jazz, but this is too “far out” for me. Reminds of Spinal Tap saying that jazz is an accident waiting to happen! 😉
