The most useful tip for me while flying indoors is adjust your camera angle based on the speed you want to fly. That + adjusting the rates so the quad is not too jumpy.

Bro you deserve a million subs for this video.two years later and pro fpv pilots still not posting meaningful contents for indoor flight and you even include throttle rates which is the vital part of flying indoor in my view. I just built my first 5 inch freestyle drone 2 weeks ago. Had couple hard crashes outdoor, i mean totally hard crashes( flying into the crash with that 6s beast) so i made up my mind to just hide certain stuff in the house and learn to fly indoors. If i master indoors then outside should be a walk in the park for me.Thanks a million

When you're first doing paid jobs and it's on the line, that adrenaline and fear is crazy. I've been there - especially when filming events where there is no reset.

Mate, I’ve been flying for months and I had the exact same problem of finding videos on HOW to get to this point. This video right here has thought me more than the hundreds of others I have gone through. That tip of the battery voltage in the centre has alone made more sense to me than any other tip I’ve seen before. THANK YOU!

This is TOTALLY unexpected. Got my first FPV Cinelog25 (used, with previous owner's settings) 5 days ago and during practicing the most difficult was to handle throttle. 0,00001 mm change in stick position and drone was touching the roof. I watched your video, played a bit with the settings and now my flying technique is waaaayyyy more better. Only after 2 minutes. Thank you ❤

I avoided this video for over a week now for the title Masterclass since I thought it was some kind of joke. I'm glad I clicked on it because what an AMAZING video that breaks down the steps of how to prepare and practice for an indoor shoot. I love the attention to detail and minor things that people don't think about needing to prepare for like rates for indoor or prepping your quad. I have the same quad but my first shoot will be chasing a mountain biker and surfer, so no indoors yet! Thank you for this incredible tutorial, I'm a subscriber now! Cheers

WOW! That was a great video, brother ! For many years I haven’t been able yet to “decipher” all the “jargon”( vocabulary) that most “Pro-Pilots” use when they make instructional FPV videos on KZfaq for us beginners! They speak about “rates”, about maintaining your altitude and, a lot more things in a way that does not mean anything to a newcomer. This is the first time I watch a humble guy just being real, being honest, and at the same time making a lot of sense in this beautiful hobby ! I am so pleased and impressed with the way you introduced yourself and how you needed to understand all that is involved in this FPV hobby while people who actually know are not able to come down to the starting place where they were before they learned all they know today! I commend you for doing this video that I know made a difference to me and hope it will make some impact on others like me who have lost their time searching for guidance under the wrong “ teachers”. Thank you you earned a subscriber and will follow you !

For the most part I surpassed these tips but ensuring you pointed out is amazing advice and I wish I found this video a year ago.. also I appreciate your humility. *so my first experience flying FPV went very badly see I went on youtube and found the fastest FPV drone under 300 which was Iflight Mosgul 5 I then went on youtube and did the oppisite based on a pro fpv pilot and changed the rates to really sesitive and fast! I then started practicing hovering outside to show my wife this drone! after it started drifting the wrong way I over corrected the drone full speed from 100 ft from me and slamed straight into my mouth! yes I got cut badly! had a Joker smile for a minute needed stitches but didn't get them haha time to slow down the rates and pick up a cinewhoop to start! I have over 100k in drones I now am joining the FPV world this winter! loved this video very informative!*

Hi Sean. Finally someone came up with an explanatory video from scratch!!! Just as a suggestion: you should have put the final video of the flight AT THE END!!! and use the rehearsal shots to graph your speech. This way, the emotions would be building throughout the video and at the end, the denouement to help bring down the dramatic curve. One question: Is this drone stabilized? IN SHORT: GREAT!!! Thank you!!!

Man, what an excellent video! Just what I was looking for! I do construction progress drone work with a mavic, but have a little Leader 120 to fly around the back yard in acro mode. I started seeing these "one shot" drone videos recently and said the same thing: I *have* to learn how to do that! Been researching for months while waiting to same up some funds, finally just bought a used "thinking p19" and can't wait to start learning. Your video has already been such a great help, and as others have said, it's like the only video I've found that actually shows "how". Great job!! Question: Have you done any more oneshot flights (I don't see any more on your channel)? If so, have you learned any more tips / tricks, not only with the rates / flying, but with contacting people and getting them to let you fly? And...have you been able to get paid for a oneshot yet? Thanks!!

First step should be simulator! Velocidrone + velocidrone flight training playlist on youtube teaches you more than you need for instance My aporach was fly the hardest tiny whoop maps on velocidrone (100h +) get a tiny whoob and 40 gates and fly like whooptopia advanced pilots. done. Its much more fun if you fly well instead of or before crashing a 500eu quad :)

One thing id push up is the mid point to actually 0.75, instead of 0.25. youll get much more resolution, since most folks fly less than 50 percent anyways, also when you need the 100 percent its still there!

Sean, thank you for this video. It was very helpful for me to stay motivated. I have purchased a DJI Avata a few months ago, but since then, I mostly stayed in the simulator (Liftoff) because I don't really have a location where I could practice. I have tried Manual Mode in my appartement a few times, but my space is really to small, it crashes into a wall or some other object pretty quickly. And I don't want to destroy anything ;) I have flewn outdoor a few times, but this is completely different because there is way more space and you don't have to fly so exactly like indoors (and the wind component).

very helpful video man thanks! Just a question: why did you have to change back from angle mode? How is it different in the video recording compared to acro? I mean if its easier and has the same result why the acro?
