I recently unsubscribed from Peter McGinnon for that exact reason. I liked his energy, and sometimes he had useful information etc., but at some point I just realized; he's wasting my time with this bullshit about snow scooters and coffee and what not. Not if there's channels like Sean that provide high integrity, high quality and no BS content like this.

@@arnenoot9948 haha! That sounds a bit extreme, but i get your point. I usually skip 3-5 minutes ahead and if they still haven't gotten to the point by then, SKIP!

A good tip for people without a strobe or high speed sync: You can use your speed light and experiment with ND-filters. You’ll loose less power on your speed light this way. If it’s still not enough, you can bring your light in even closer (depending on your choice of focal length, subject size and framing of course).

I'm always left inspired from watching your videos Sean. I'm right at the infancy of my photography career, been interested for many years and at 35 I'm taking the plunge and bought a camera, and I'm soaking up all this knowledge from all over the place. Your videos are not only very informative, but for me at least they convey a sense of calm and focus at the same time. There's a lot to think about, but the information is relayed in such a way that it feels like with every sentance there's a hint of "you can do this, you'll be fine" submerged in the wording. Thank you.

Would just like to add that using HSS will reduce a speedlight's output power. As demonstrated by Sean here, the AD200 can perform adequate HSS work for portrait work at 1/2 power in bright daylight. However, by attaching an ND filter(3-5 stops) it's possible to increase the speedlight's output power. Something to consider.
