It’s a fair question. I just asked the same thing. They had enough time to ward off traffic by law enforcement but they couldn’t get the workers off the bridge? Could they have ran to escape before impact? Were there no construction vehicles around to use to escape? Lots of questions. 900 ft is 300 yards (3 football fields), 274 meets (A little over running 200 meters).. I’m not saying they were physically capable but I just wonder. Idk know their exact location on the bridge at that point but it’s makes me question

lol that’s a good question but also dumb one. Bridges are long and for all we know the workers were on cables on top of the bridge or on cables and walks on the bottom of the bridge working it. And even then they would have to move quickly to a vehicle then drive off the bridge which looks pretty long it self. I feel like awareness could have been better for all parties tho. I feel like if I was a worker I would notice the ship but then again I stare at birds and airplanes when they fly by still lolololol😅😭

Why was this ship backing through the bridge's channel lane gap, instead of going through front first, where the direction controls work much better, than when the ship is backing through, mainly because the ship's control bridge is on the bow (front of ship) and the windows of the ship's control bridge face forward? The picture of the bridge's collapse shows part of the bridge laying on the bow, which was the last part of the ship that was still under the bridge when it collapsed. Why is nobody asking this question, for everyone knows that direction control of a ship is much better when going forward, instead of when it is backing up.

@Voodooblue89
@Voodooblue89 Ай бұрын
“Mass casualty event” is just a phrase used by emergency services and first responders in reference to these fluid events where there is a lot of reacting happening quickly to some unforeseen catastrophe. My wife works at hospital and they do mass casualty drills but they aren’t necessarily always for large amounts of casualties but just a dynamic situation that requires quick reactions to avoid being overwhelmed. I think in terms of hospitals it’s like an event where 10 or more patients could show up in quick succession. Not necessarily a huge amount of people to use this phrase. Between the ship crew and the construction crew who were on the bridge that designation probably isn’t that outlandish.

Away from USA and in no regards to the tragedy. let me -one of the middle east- tell you how we see that crisis. that crisis reminds us of 9 11. why? 1-) on 9/ 10 / 2001 day before the tragedy. the whole USA were speaking about +2 trillions dollars in arms were missing in the USA federals finance system. the whole world was seeing how USA fails to maintain stable economy every year but they don't care as long as federals reserve can print as much dollars as it takes to fill the gaps. so the CIA allowed "their" proxy army Islamests (Jihadis-Osama bin Laden-Taliban-"then became" ISIS) to do the 2 towers scenario. For the shock they need to affect the American society by. After the Jihadis or CIA's shadow arm did the crisis of 9 11. then USA Posh did what he did in Afghanistan and then in Iraq (NO Mass destruction weapons found in Iraq).They did that for balancing the situation, and to waste more than the mentioned +2 Trillions to find the gaps where they can fill with the missing money. your politicians always get rich and they fight each other who can become richest. In that course they don't care about what happens in Gaza or Iraq or Libya or Guyana or china. There is very important point must not be ignored. Muslims didn't defend Islamests or Osama Bin Laden because -for your information- we are Muslims we Don't intrude others lands as USA or Jihadis do. Muslims don't steal others resources. Muslims don't seek others lands. Muslims Obey International Law. Muslims Believe in what Palestinians believe. The bridge was clearly intentionally under engineered in the name of economy and efficiency 3:21

Tell us about the Ukrainian captain

Hate to break it to you, but the captain is not in control of the ship at that point. All foreign flagged ships are required to have a local pilot on board to guide it in and out of the port. The pilot is in full control and the captain has no authority over the pilot.

Immediately after the crash major media outlets report "definitely not terrorism just an accident, yup 100% an accident"

Seems like a poor bridge design. The ship hit one pylon and just about the whole bridge collapses.

@@user-nh3cr2kg4r They throttled up in full reverse. They only dropped 1 anchor, because they were trying to steer the ship away from the pylon. If you don't know how ships work, you could have just said so.

lol… an old bridge that will cost more to get fixed due not proper inspections and repairs… put it on never used ships insurance and bridge insurance warranties.. yup. “It was an accident” lol. 🤣😂 During night time, lower % of witnesses… you can’t tell since before that short time of “drift” with a giant SLOW SHIP. 😂🤣 Yup.. accident it is.
