Searching for the best blow off valve sound. Do 3D printed inserts work?

Жыл бұрынWe decided to do a little experiment by 3D printing HKS SSQV blow off valve inserts and testing each one. We learned a few things and might do "BOV series". Some of the inserts were duds and some actually sounded really good. Send us some ideas for BOV inserts and we will test them out.

I didn't know these inserts can be 3d printed. Very cool. That's a nice, scenic road as well.

It was a fun experiment. Yeah we love this canyon. Not bad when it's only 5 minutes from your house.

Cool video idea, I wish you would have revved like how you did the rollers so you can hear more. Maybe while you’re parked and you can hear clearly.

Oh that is a good idea. I didn't even think about doing revving clips. We will do an update later. We have a few more inserts we want to test as well.

for the coolant fittings i used vibrant 11524 to -6 an line you should look in to that

Did you scan them yourself and turn into an STL file or did you find and modify an existing file?

I just measured the original insert and made the insert ring on tinkercad and then used random diffusers I found on thingiverse and modified those to fit inside the insert ring.
