This is a story of passion: passion for wolves, or better coast wolves! Coast wolves are unique - they have more genetic variability than any other wolf and live in the coastal forests and islands of the west coast of Canada. Our protagonist, Gudrun Pflueger, is an ex world champion cross country skier and long distance runner. She has been studying wolves in the wild of Canada collecting field data, hair, droppings and other evidence for use in scientific projects on wolves. In this film we follow as she goes in search of the coast wolves of British Columbia.

So wonderful to see the wolves behaving naturally, with no fear of humans. What a great gift to this amazing woman---to enjoy their presence without fear of them and to know they were so comfortable with hers. Very special. Thank you!

Such a passion for wolves , she feels at home in this remote rainforest. I love this documentary about wolves which are always persecuted and misunderstood by human, but they are wonderful animals, nature’s another gift, we all should love. They have a role to play in nature, they are wonderful and shy animals.

Yea well those BC coast wolves also ripped out the throat of a dude sleeping on the west coast a few years ago. You can't assume they aren't dangerous because they didn't attack you once. Polar bears don't always attack humans either

If you want to see deer go to an area which was clear cut several years ago. During those years much browse will have grown up that deer feed on. Don't go into dense forest because deer have little to eat there. 5:45

I knew when she saw the Spirit Bear, her Life would change. If I had been you laying there with the wolves, I would not have returned. I would have turned into a Wolf. I wrote a story about a women who was healed by a wolf pack and chose to stay with them. Much luv and light coming your way.❤

The Sea Wolf (Canis crassodon) is a large dog native to the western coasts of Canada, there are three recognized subspecies: the Columbian Wolf (Canis crassodon columbianus), the Vancouver Island Wolf (Canis crassodon crassodon), and the Archipelago Wolf (Canis crassodon ligoni).

@@nkhamoza1 First of all I had no idea what your skin color is. 2nd I didn't see any comments from Canadian scientists claiming they were overlooked for this research. 3rd of all to not like someone because they are foreign born doing some important research outside their home country is petty and stupid. 4th you said you were a nationalist which is just as bad as being racist. @@HenHo90 wolf populations estimates in lower 48: MN 2500, WI 1000, MI 600, ID 1000, MT 1000, OR and WA has about 400. CA has about 45. About 135 in NM and AZ.

There have been no attacks in Yellowstone and they were reintroduced 30 years ago. Park has 3 million visitors a year and guns are not permitted in any national park
