That’s some really flawed logic. It is not up to the city to decide how individuals dispose of their trash. Have you ever considered that it recollects trash after an annual cleanup based on how many people pass through it?

Each of you griping live on a river. 90% chance. I'd be willing to bet you city or town has never cleaned the bottom of your river after diverting it. The San Antonio river must have been declared sacred after the Pope came to San Antonio.😁. No other reason to my knowledge. As always, the Catholic.Church blessed it upon naming the town, but that does not make it sacred. I was born there, it must be sacred for that reason, lol. You kids quit makin' stuff up! The communist politicians and socialist "leaders" are the reason i left! Don't believe me? Look up the history of the Castro Family and Cisneros Family, it was on Google, maybe not now, because they have pull with the Leftist big media and corporations.

They do this every January, they close the flood gates and drain the river and clean as much as they can.

San Antonio is one of the most visited cities in the U.S. attracting 40 million annual visitors, millions of people walk the 15 mile long Riverwalk that is an actual 240 mile long River that flows into San Antonio Bay at the Gulf of Mexico. There are hundreds of Hotels, Bars, lounges ,Restaurants, shops and residential along the River which explains stuff being thrown in the River. The River is cleaned periodically and even drained once a year and cleaned properly. The Riverwalk also has the largest urban ecosystem in the country.

As a San Antonio native, this is AMAZING!! My mom used to work at the Republic of Texas restaurant, I spent many Christmases as a girl scout singing carols on the bardges, and even my fiance proposed to me after a walk along the River Walk... This place is so, so special and beautiful to so many of us. I loved your finds and I deeply appreciate the respect you have for the river, and how much you appreciate it, too!! Thank you so much for this video!!!!

The only thing you really need to worry about is swallowing water because of Giardia. It's treatable but man it's bad, but then diarrhea is always nasty.

Beyond making an interesting video, thanks for all your clean up efforts! We hope residents and visitors can be more careful with what goes into the water along the River Walk. Also, hope bars & restaurants consider what materials they are using, knowing that things are easily dropped in nearby waterway!

In my college days at University of Houston in the 80s, my then-boyfriend and I got bored one Saturday night so we drove to San Antonio, took a walk on the River Walk, ate breakfast at a Dennys, then drove back in time to Galveston to watch the sun rise over the Gulf of Mexico before heading back to the dorm.

I dont live in san antonio, but liked cuz that clean up was so satisfying. nobody would have ever gone down there to grab some of that garbage. that 6ft distancing just got there this past year and could have been there for 5-10 more years. good job dude, glad you got a nice hotel to go with it haha. I'm sure SA city was happy to accommodate you for what you did for them. ppl joke all SA has to offer is that river walk so you really helped.

I’ve been on that river 3 times in my lifetime and I’m a native to Colorado. I am so amazed at your clean up efforts. Thank you. I have watched every one of your videos and now every where I go I will always pick up trash. I was in Jupiter FL last month and was picking up plastic on the beach. I was astonished at what I found. If everyone picked up garbage, our world would be a much cleaner place. Again I want to thank you. You are one amazing person.

My son, from Georgia, graduated from Lackland AFB back in September 2015. We made several trips to the river and on the boats. It's awesome to see you clean up so much trash from such a beautiful site. I hope they allow you to come back again or maybe make a Clean the River Week allowing you to lead the team.

My MOST favourite is when you find weapons you guys gives it to the police. I just lone the looks and attitudes when you guys find cell phones and gives it back to them. SA is definitely worth a visit, but know that a lot- but not all- on the Riverwalk is geared toward tourism. Btw, beyond the much more famous Alamo, check out the other Spanish Missions around the Harlandale (Southwest part of town) area. Also, while by the Alamo itself, have a look at the impressive Emily Morgan Hotel just behind it (named after the famed "Yellow Rose of Texas").

If you guys make it up to Lake Texoma there's a few beaches people swim but in lost my phone with 13yrs of family and kids photos in it in relatively shallow water for snorkel and diving. I watch you guys all the time and wish there were good hearted people up here that do what you do. Thanks for all the great content. 👍

Thank God nobody has to drink even filtered water from there. Careless, drunk people. A senior and former S.A. native now in Austin. God bless you for your work. You inspire young and all people. I passed through SA on the way to Port A in the fall of 18. The morning I left there was a group of volunteers doing beach cleanup. I wear a 1990 t-shirt that says "protect our natural resources ", drawing of fish swimming. Be safe.

To those of you who aren't from this city, just know that those of us who were born & raised in San Antonio know that the city drains & cleans all debris from the river once a year. So, don't "trash talk" lol about our RiverWalk cleanliness. Btw, us locals enjoy watching the process of draining it yearly. It's cool. And yes, TONS of bead necklaces plus a lot of other stuff are in it because San Antonio has TONS of River Walk River parades throughout the year. The most popular one is the Mardi Gras River Parade where TONS of beads are thrown to people watching the parade. Some of other river parades include, Texas Cavalier Fiesta River Parade, Christmas River Parade, Bud Light Pride River Parade, Patriotic Military River Parade, Dewali River Parade, St. Patrick's Day River Parade, Mud King & Queen River Parade, Mariachi River Parade, and so many more! Come visit San Antonio and don't forget to get a tour of our Beautiful River Walk!

I have always wanted to check that place out after seeing it on a TV special some time ago. San Antonio is awesome. You found some amazing things. Hi im so excited you got to dive into it!! I lost my iwatch. My band broke and other people saw it bounce and drop in!! I was so upset 😭. I had just paid it off. So if you find it i would love to have it back!! 🥰😊 It was right next to the county line restaurant. Jan 28, 2021.

Pretty easy to toss them in. Those scooters are everywhere. When they drained it in 2020, they found hundreds of them.

Did you happen to find a Bb xylophone bar? My elementary percussion group was performing at the rivercenter mall and it just jumped right off into the river walk.
