Preparations Before Sailing to Thailand S03E06

Күн бұрынWe are very excited to be on the move again after 3 months of laptop work in our sailboat, in the same anchorage, in Malaysia. It was enough to drive us stir-crazy as we are so accustomed to being on the move!
But before we set sail to Thailand, we must fix a leak in our water tank, replace a light bulb up the mast, and do a 2-month-long provision. Hence time spent in a marina.

Yikes! Those water bladders get hot in the tropics and start off-gassing into your water supply. Not only does it taste bad, but it could be dangerous, health-wise. Same thing with most plastic water bottles. (PET in particular.) Stainless is the only way to go.

hiiiii, we carry around 450 litres, which lasts around 3 weeks

correct, however, to complete the entry and visa requirements, we have to travel to Ao Chalong in a certain amount of time, without going on land. It's not like arriving by air, we have to declare and have our boat checked in, which includes customs and harbour master check-ins... might sound simple, but if they are following your AIS, you might have some questions to answer...
