It is sad that Sears stores are gone. Sears was an icon in the USA like Kmart. I loved to shop in Sears.

Sears purchasing K-Mart is the main reason they are both gone. Sears should have used that $11 billion to fix their OWN store. Instead, they wasted that money on K-Mart, so both failed under the absent leadership of "Fast Eddie" (Lampert).

Guess what if you weren’t keeping updates this store is reopening under a new format in the coming months and will reopen a ton of stores in empty Sears stores that Transformco owns but remember this, I’m not 100% sure but people are hearing some other locations are targeted for reopening

@@realluser-smore-2519 Whatever. The main guy who engineered that merger was Eddie Lampert, formerly of Sears, who became Edward Lampert, chairman of the newly merged company, Sears Holdings Corp. The $11 billion came from Transformco, founded by Eddie Lampert. We noticing a pattern here? 🤦

It is CRIMINAL what Eddie Lambert has done to this company. I remember back in the mid 1980s a Home Crafters store opened in Louisville and they couldn't make it because they couldn't compete with Sears. Now Lowes and Home Depot have taken all of that business

I could not have had my first house in the 1980's without SEARS and its credit card. Everything from appliances to paint to the keys made at the locksmith shop. My last purchase was a self-propelled Craftsman lawnmower in 2015, and now they are all gone (in Wisconsin). From an empire that had the tallest building in the world...to this. What a shame.

There aren't many left in the U.S., and they'll probably be gone soon. The last Sears I went to was the one in Northridge just before they closed. I picked up some dirt cheap shirts. I blame Eddie Lampert. He buys K-Mart and Sears, sucks away their assets, drives them into the ground, leaving their employees unemployed and shuttered stores that are now eyesores.

I went there when they opened. I was in high school sad to see them go. I used to frequent the Valley plaza location growing up my mom used to take me there.
